Enchanted Arms. Slightly generic JRPG, reminiscent of FFVIII, kinda refreshing in some respects though. The lead Atsuma, though a bit of a dunce, is likeable, possibly because he is a bit of a dunce. His exuberance is certainly a far cry from Squall and all his teenage whingery, which can only be a good thing. There is a horrendously flamboyant gay character though who's flamboyancy has been well documented yet the Japanese VO track renders him tolerable. So far I'm pleasantly surprised. Also, thanks to crash girls postage of a single Jagged Alliance 2 screenshot the other day, I'm back on the JA bandwagon...but what a wagon it be.

Yeah, there's a little bit too much of a cosmic funk at the end of Last Exile. Pretty cool overall though. Watanabe's criticised for his lack of a single coherent plot but I prefer his structure, keeps things fresher. .

Pixies - Winterlong I talked smack about it weeks ago in this very thread. Now it's opened up to me like a door. That's about as poetic as I get.

I dug Trigun, maybe you want to give that a go, Surrep. It's a good mixture of futuristic western goofiness and typical anime drama. I kinda enjoyed Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust too, also a futuristic western with typical anime drama. What it lacks in goofiness it makes up for with vampires.
