  1. Either you don't know what the word "literally" means or you've never seen what happens when you start you car with a cat sleeping under the hood. Oh, but on the subject of kiting, it does seem like a pretty cheap tactic, I feel like if I was a guard and saw one of my coworkers go running off with his sword drawn or just suddenly fall over with a bunch of arrows in him I'd be a little concerned.
  2. For me BG2 is one of the best games ever, I don't know why but I can play and replay and replay that game, doing different quests, classes equipment, alignments companions, etc. If I had to seriously pick just one game I could ever play again the choice would be fairly easy. Now PS:T is a pretty fantastic game, but much less variation, each time I play I feel like I'm just playing it the same way over and over again.
  3. Easter eggs, references, etc. can be pretty entertaining depending on their subtlety. I think they work better when you either have to know what you're looking for, or if they're vague enough that even if you don't get the reference then it doesn't feel out of place. It's like getting a little reward for knowing a little something other people might not. Blatant, annoying jokes yelling out at you from the screen though? More irritating than fun.
  4. Quest items that don't dissappear can be irritating, in some games I wind up carrying pilies of keys, notes, books, special statues, etc. just because I don't know if it'll never be useful again. Something like a keyring would be nice at least.
  5. I was concerned about only 8 companions at first but the more I think about it the better I feel about it. I vastly prefer the well-developed, has-something-to-add-to-the-story companion as oppossed to the useless meat sack I'll never bother recruiting in the first place. And I do like the ability to make my own companions so I can just fill in the gaps however I see fit. This is still one of my concerns though, it is kind of a pain when you get a limited number of compainions and 2 or 3 of them aren't even avaliable until near end game, restricts their development a bit. My only other concern would be about alignment; would good companions play well with evil ones? Will they want to be in the same party together? Would some characters wind up attacking one another (although rivalries do add some nice spice to the whole thing)? Is PE even going going to use the traditional Chaotic/Lawful/Good/Evil/Neutral setup?
