  1. I admit to being afire with curiosity. And given that we're about 25k away from meeting the last stretch goal, they may want to get right on letting us know what the castles for...
  2. Gotta remember that using an Engine they're already intimately familiar with, instead of creating one from scratch or customizing one for the first time will significantly reduce dev time. Still, if we make the second big city a year and a half does feel like a fairly optimistic turnaround time.
  3. It does tend to put a premium on making sure characters stay healed and rested, and gives the game more of a Fire Emblem type feel, where you consider how much danger you want to put a given character in very carefully. Speaking for myself, it will probably increase my number of reloads in my initial playthroughs drastically, as I am not a fan of losing companions.
  4. We've also got another 16,110 from four different websites donating. That would put us at 3,200,127 Which four websites? http://www.neogaf.co...ad.php?t=491435 http://gamebanshee.c...roject-eternity http://www.<span sty...ent.php?id=8456 http://www.sorcerers...ead.php?t=58007 Correct me if I'm wrong but atleast one of those sites is already included in the kickstarter total. Neogaf had reserved an inn spot on the kickstarter site in anticipation that they would make the goal, they're one of the three 5k donations listed for the tavern donation level.
  5. I'm going to add another voice for the fluffier side of things, mainly because it's so irritating to me when even in a game of high fantasy, the heroes can't win. This is not to say that your choices should not be difficult, or that every single quest should end in sweetness and light, because that simply doesn't make for very good story telling. But at the end of the day, provided I did everything right, (and doing everything right should definitely be both difficult and time consuming) I want to be able to see the heroes walk into the sunset having unambiguously made the world a better place. Now by all means, if you feel like playing a blood-drinking slaughterer of the innocent or an uncaring mercenary in it for yourself, I'm all for the option being there to do just that. But I play games to win, and would really prefer the story to have an ultimate victory condition. Haha, Terry Pratchett. Good times.
  6. I have a feeling part of the reason the gap is so large between the stronghold and the second big city is that it may in fact already include some of these suggestions. Also, don't forget that the first expansion is already planned, and you want to leave them something to include in it.
  7. I think we'll make the Stronghold without too much trouble. That second city, though? That's gonna take a lot of doing in three and a half days.
