Bottom line, this whole want for change was started by an idiot who can't get her **** straight in her own life, due to circumstances both within and beyond her control. While you can have a difficult life dealing with gender identity issues and the bull**** that comes along with it, it does not give you "carte blanche" to **** on everyone else. Beyond that, there's the lemming mentality that people will follow a friggin nutcase in her quest for so called "justice" when the entire thing is taken way out of context. The joke wasn't targeted at trans-people, nor anyone in the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. And her intense stupidity took center stage on that and gave proof, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that she's just trying to grasp at anything to push her hateful agenda forward.

It's irrelevant what she decides her gender to be. It's her right and that's the end of it. The issue is she decided to take offense at something that wasn't even about her, nor trans-people.

Knock yourself out, but you better not be whining if someone expresses themselves by calling it out. Nope, never would. I don't mind people expressing themselves. Asking for censorship is something different.

Don't be disappointed, friend. There's nothing to be disappointing about. A lot of people see it as defeat, when it, in reality isn't. Don't hold on to the same negativity.

Possibly, but I don't see it that way. I didn't even let it come to that part of the discussion, knowing that they may just have said "Too bad, so sad". They have better things to do than deal with visibly insane individuals. It was not even their writing/material. The way I see it, I got to write something controversial and then got to publicly insult some people who didn't like it. While I would have preferred for the original to stay, there are worse things in life. I just think Obisdian's energy would be best spent elsewhere.

Actually, there was a choice. They asked me if I wanted to change in light of what happened. I chose to change it so that they can concentrate on the game instead of this PR nightmare. They weren't going to change it, they asked ME if I wanted to. I can find another platform to write my controversial crap, and I will. They, on the other hand, did the right thing and allowed me to decide the fate of the epitaph. I chose to turn into something that made fun of the bitch-bastards that were complaining. They went above and beyond what I would have expected them to do. Okay, so it was a choice. Can you confirm these talks with screenshots or something? Blank out sensitive info. I find it kind of weird that Obsidian would be 100% okay with this staying but would avoid engaging at all with their backers about it in the first place. I would like to ask you this, though: was offering this as a toggle a choice at any point? So that non-backers who didn't buy the game could remove whatever offended them and others could keep the game as it is? Also, is there a reason why Obsidian has not been upfront about this? You will have to take my word for it. I have no problems saying what's on my mind, as can be attested to, so I have no reason to BS. It was collaborative. There were emails back and forth and I don't have the inclination to start taking screenies and editing images. Third, developing a software mechanism to allow users to turn them off and on is a lot tougher/longer than changing some data files. I am a software developer, so I can imagine what's involved. And finally, I'm just assuming here, but Obsidian didn't want to say anything final until it was all done. Most companies don't want to declare anything as final until it's done.

So much back-story imagined from 4 lines of mock poetry, everyone gets their panties up in a bunch...it's ridiculous. It's satire, it's meant to be controversial. But only expert trolls can take it way out of context the way they did.

Mouse wheel is a boon for click interface applications/games. Let's make it useful. I can always put band-aids on my fingertips to protect 'em. I like some of the ideas posted: 1) Dialogue choices 2) Scrolling between character's inventories 3) Zoom in/out of main display, map details, etc 4) Flip pages through journal/quest logs (if flipping pages is how the intended functionality is)

Not sure if I'll be picking up BG:EE - I don't know if it's much better than the getup GoG offers in terms of the game play. Is it be really worth it to buy it again, albeit having the new characters and adventures, when the one I have is currently working. I'm eager to find out, because I will buy it if it IS worth it.

Hmm....a joke turned reality? Coincidence or clairvoyance? Did Sensuki really know or is this the folks at Obsidian putting the kibosh on some elaborate hoax. We'll find out on the next Town Talk. In truth though, I liked what I read. I would definitely like to see some way of being able to fulfill the image you may have for a character not be marred by the choice of armor you make. I have found myself picking stronger armor strictly because the game mechanics made the survivability of my characters impossible. Bring it on. Oh...and loving the idea of a fulfillment website.

Nothing wrong in people suggesting Youtube celebrities to hire for music. People are expressing their tastes, and the possible talent pool in Youtube is nothing to shake a stick at. It allows artists with lower than workable budgets to expose themselves to the world, in hopes of getting recognized. While I'm not a fan, I can freely admit that Justin Bieber's Youtube efforts served him quite well.

What rest? They should get to work? What do you mean the game's not out yet? Let's hustle people!!! I think a chat room type setup with channels could be interesting. Hey, if they don't do one, I'd be willing to set one up...unofficially, of course.

Yea - the theatrics are a little over the top. Let's just say I would listen to Lindsey Stirling playing the violin, but wouldn't pay to see a live show. It's just a little too much.

I think she may be suitable for a one time thing, but I believe orchestral music would essentially entail a large group of musicians and vocalists. It would be a shame for her voice to get lost in a choir. In game music usually is low on lyrics, especially of a solo nature. Plus, it entirely depends on the direction the music will take, to see if she is a "fit". Then again, she can just do covers when the game is out and continue to rise in fame. Time will tell, I guess.
