  1. I watched Necessary Roughness (1991)…and yes I enjoyed it. It was a guilty enjoyment.
  2. The central ring breaks off and flies away. The Catalyst even says they will be destroyed. This does not matter because the Normandy was between relays, not at one. How does an explosion hit FTL? Space magic? I’m still trying to figure out how the outer edge of that blast radius knocks the Normandy out of the sky if the blast isn't supernova damage to everything within it? Also wasn’t the Normandy in that relay transit a pretty long time? I thought relay transits where nearly instantaneous.
  3. I used contacts in high school till I had an allergic reaction to some I’d gotten from lens crafter. Pacific Rim reminds me of the old Godzilla movies. At the end of that The Prototype trailer I couldn’t help but thinking about Robocop without his helmet. Watched the Crow last night. Forgot how much I loved that movie.
  4. I don’t go see 3D movies. Having to put the 3D glasses over my own glasses feels awkward and annoying.
  5. With modern Hollywood? There are just certain movies/shows those people shouldn’t touch. I’ve heard that the script for the remake of Highlander had the immortals using guns and bombs on each other. They also made Conner into a pacifist college school teacher.
  6. I’m watching Paranormal Activity 3 sadly I’ve never seen 1 or 2. its been so long. At least since that WOW commercial…
  7. Please don’t give me flash backs to that awful movie. The Airbender movie was one of the few movies worse than the Dragon Ball movie. Edit: What was the thinking behind that movie? “Hey I have an idea lets shove hours of a good cartoon show into an hour and a half movie.” Nothing could go wrong there, nope…
  8. That trailer is awesome. I love that it’s directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan. I’m happy they choose Amy Adams (come on who didn’t like her in Doubt?) to play Lois. Henry Cavill I don’t really know that well…anyone got any movies of his I could watch to get a feel for his acting? I always liked Lane Smith (his love for Elvis) as Perry White but Laurence Fishburne is an awesome pick.
  9. I forgot all about ‘War of the Worlds’ which I really hated. Maybe I blanked it out. I don’t have a problem with Tom he just doesn’t play in movies I like to see. I did like him in Tropic Thunder and Interview with the Vampire. I’m not one of those people that watch and read everything that that celebrities are doing. If I see some celebrity on TV (not that I watch it anymore with netflix and amazon prime) pushing something or other I’d turn the channel. That said I didn’t like what he had to say about Brooke Shields (who was Carol Ferris in Justice League: The New Frontier) who has played in parts that I really loved. Oo how…could you not like Legend…it has Mia Sara (Ferris Bueller's Day Off) in it. Not to mention it has Tim Curry… Dr. Frank N. Furter himself…it just boggles my mind. He was MAL on Captain Planet. He was Pennywise the Dancing Clown (the main reason I fear clowns to this day). Back to movies, I watched Coming to America. James Earl Jones is awesome.
  10. I always liked Caddyshack or Stripes. None of that maters until we get Ghostbusters 3…or Carl Spackler is going to blow up a gopher. Do you want gophers to die?
  11. ****tail? That movie was awful. edit: Seriously? I can’t even name the movie? LOL Its that drink here. Next your going to tell me Roadhouse isn't awesome Roadhouse is a guilty pleasure. But it’s not great, far from it. ****tail on the other hand sucked hard.
  12. Vega and Allers I hated. Jessica Chobot (as Diana Allers) was to me the worst character in the game. Why didn’t we get Emily Wong? I just wanted to throw Allers out an airlock. I also didn’t like the sexbot version of EDI…
  13. ****tail? That movie was awful. edit: Seriously? I can’t even name the movie? LOL Its that drink here.
  14. I liked Freddie Prinze jr in She's All That (mainly for Rachael Leigh Cook, that red dress, hello?) also Anna Paquin is in She’s All That…hmmm sookie sookie now.
  15. Nope, you didn't. But Forbes has been championed by many of the hater crowd, yet many conveniently ignore that he was their enemy literally one day before release. Essentially, the Forbes article is a columnist that can write whatever he wants, as Forbes pays him based on traffic (Forbes doesn't hide this). People seem to grant it some extra degree of legitimacy simply because it's a columnist that posts on Forbes. You also seem to think you're educating me on the matter, and bringing me up to speed on things that I don't already know. Yes, I know that there's articles on Forbes. They were championed on an almost daily basis (since the author agreed with them). Yes, I know that there wasn't exactly a small group of people upset with the endings. You linked me to movements that I already know (and there was several more that you missed). That BioWare did anything is a direct acknowledgement that BioWare agreed that it wasn't some trivial group of individuals that happened to be very loud. A columnist that can write whatever he wants is now a bad thing? Last time I checked its better to be a columnist that writes what he/she wants then a journalist that writes to satisfy the people that buy their ad space. You know what they say about assuming? I just choose not to assume anything about another person. I don’t believe I’m educating you on the mater at hand but you can believe that if you want. Yea I didn’t put down a link to every Mass Effect 3 movement and I’m not going to spend my time doing that. You can if you want. Yes BioWare did change the ending(s). After fans responded so negatively that they really had no choice in the mater. But it’s BioWare’s own fault for making comments like this “There are many different endings. We wouldn’t do it any other way. How could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t say any more than that…” Here. Others. Also when dealing with closure I’d like to point people to David Gaider’s view. Then changed to this “Our first instinct is to defend our work and point to the high ratings offered by critics – but out of respect to our fans, we need to accept the criticism and feedback with humility.” To “However, most folks appear to agree that the game as a whole is exceptional, with more than 75 critics giving it a perfect review score and a review average in the mid-90s.” in the same blog. Yea the game is exceptional…discounting the ending(s), auto-dialogue, bugs and is that disk locked content I see? Mass Effect 3: How to unlock Javik The Prothean without DLC pt.1 background story http://www.gamefront.com/mass-effect-3s-prothean-character-unlockable-without-dlc-pc-only/ Just so people know they never needed to buy Javik.
  16. Just don't forget that the same writer is a big fan of Day One DLC too. Did I mention day 1 DLC? I don’t have a problem with day 1 DLC so how does this affect what I said? But if you want to bring up day 1 DLC I’m ok with it as long as none of the DLC information is on the game disk. Now if I data mine my Mass Effect 3 disk I won’t find Javik on there will I? Also I don’t see this at Forbes… or this… http://draykenobi.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/picture-1.png
  17. Feeling like a hero doesn’t have to be positive. Take Dragon Age Origins sacrifice ending. My elf warrior felt like a hero for sacrificing herself to stop the blight and kill the arch demon. It was sad but I still felt like a hero. I can say the same for the endings I got in Mass Effect 1/2 as well as some others. I finished ME3 and my Shepard (who spent the whole game saying things I would never have picked, like flirting with Vega for no reason) just takes what the star brat has to say at face value. That’s not cool. Star Fox Command had 9 endings for Miyamoto’s sake.
  18. I always liked Brent Knowles, which is why I listen to him when he has something to say. Like here. I don’t agree with everything he says but that was something of note that BioWare just doesn’t seem to understand now. He was also the guy that made DAO, which I loved. I feel that I should also point out that it wasn’t just a handful of whiners complaining about the ending. http://retakemasseffect.chipin.com/retake-mass-effect-childs-play https://www.facebook.com/DemandABetterEndingToMassEffect3 http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2012/06/26/mass-effect-3s-extended-cut-too-little-far-too-late/ There are others but the crap endings created a movement that got the attention of Forbes.
  19. I flipped a coin, heads EDI dies in destroy or tails shooting star ghost brat in the face gets us blah…both are equally valid. Happily I no longer have any more worries about BioWare since the type of game I want is being made by Obsidian with Project Eternity.
  20. BioWare already stepped into the minefield and lost a foot. Best they can do is crawl out of the while hoping and praying that they don’t hit another mine. The EC had a big FU to the fans , that still sting’s. I don’t believe fan service here could be a bad thing…especially since BioWare is still in El Alamein without a Polish mine detector.
  21. I predict more auto dialogue. I also predict 95% action 5% story, just like the last one.
  22. After seeing Val Kilmer's Doc Holliday I wanted to see him as Raistlin… that is till I saw Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight a movie so awful that I had to go to the post office to ship it back to the company that made it with a sticky saying “try again.” That movie was worse than Highlander 2.
  23. I enjoyed the StarGate movies. Ark of Truth was fun, just made me miss the show. I didn't care for Stargate Universe. I'm watching all the Star Trek episodes and movies in order of the year the show/movie was based in. In the year 2373 almost done with Deep Space 9 (BTW Rejoined and The Drumhead where the best episodes ever).
