What do you usualy use math for in making a game?
math is easy until you really reach the higher levels, then the fun is gone and it becomes tedious but in the end it's just a question of repeating alot until you think it's easy.then go on with the nextstep. i really hate those "show that X is equal to Y" questions they allways contain some very weird steps. and the fact that math nolonger contain any numbers and only diffrent variabels. but in the end. thing are easy if you know them hard if you don't.

What Obsidian Job Would You Want?
well i picked game programmer since that position should be possible for me to go into but. i would love to peek into engine programmer and graphic programmer since they are quite blank areas for me and i want to learn it all. i wouldn't know where to start when it comes to building a game. all i know i need a game engine aswell as a graphic engine. and i don't know a squat about graphic programming. No language i have learn has described how you paint things from scratch.

Why not get a degree?
there is also alot of diffrent types of degrees and diffrent fields. i am currently taking my master degree in electro engineering. because a pure game development degree would leave you to a very weak market in sweden. i don't spend that amount of time in university for being unemployed i rather take a more useful degree and might take the back door into the game industry later.

Magic System Discussion
i defently prefer a mana based system, but my biggest concern dealing with D&D system is: 1) i couldn't brows the player spell list on a easy basis from a script 2) the player learn spell out of thin air. (levelup) go back to scribe scrolls atleast so i can control what spells are available. 3) there where no way to increase spell usage. 4) i couldn't create my own spell casting classes

Why are you here?
well i am here because i like NWN toolset and i expect NWN2 toolset to be better. my path as an community member is player->builder->scripter->CustomContentmaker. the fact that it's using D&D is unimportant it could have used anything aslong as i get same or better freedom to modify it. basically i want a rpgmaker and so far this is the best on the market.
