  1. Not to be greedy or anything, but I liked all of those designs... so... can we have them all please. Thanking you.
  2. Really looking forward to more of these updates about the art, it's going to be so great to experience a new, living, breathing world. Because the character dolls are quite high in textures I am hoping that this will allow for some beautiful looking and unique weapons and armour in the game. I'm all one for half plate and full plate, but I do like those 'rare' finds when you find yourself with something that just looks simply amazing.
  3. Ideas for gods you say? Well I can think of a few of the top of my head. Bare with me, as my mind tends to be a bit strange sometimes. A god of deception and lies, although, his followers revere him as the god of veiled truths. nothing more but a complete swine who enjoys the game of deception, to see how far he can take the rouse before his worshippers are slain. It is said he bestows a single leader with the gift of Charisma, to rally the believers into zealots. Sometimes they do good things, sometimes they do bad things, what they get up to does not concern him, but merely how the events play out and how far he can take his lie 'the truth' before the game is up. A god of that rewards sacrifice and punishes murderers. A small village got the message confused as did the church, for when famine hit they thought their god was displeased with them so they offered up a single woman for sacrifice to try and appease him. Of course, the woman did not go willingly but her heart was cut out regardless. Turns out, that the god rewards those who sacrifice themselves in a heroic fashion, and not in the manner of 'virgin sacrifice'. Due to the villagers actions he deemed them as murderes and punished them with killing livestock, sickness and poverty. The villagers in their desperation started sacrificing more women to their god, only to damn them further. A god of nature, although not a nurturing one. Seeing humanoids as nothing more than a plague apart from those whom live in accordance to her will. It is said that a beautiful horse can sometimes be seen by a crystal blue lake. When men mount the beast in order to tame it they find themselves not able to get off, even while the horse slowly descends into the lake drowning them, a reminder from the godess of mans foolishness in trying to master her creations. A god of spiders, the spider is considered a holy creature among the gods worshippers. There are factions of the gods worshipper where females are the dominant power (think Drow) and as such live like the spider. Grooming young men into their beds with their beautiful pale skin, to which they then murder and eat afterwards. The god of Relentless politeness, a god that reveres politeness and hospitality beyond the normal measure. It is said that he sends trials to his worshippers, often in the most cruelist vile manner possible, to ensure that their members maintain their composure. As such, many of the fiath live alone without spouses and are often refered to as cursed men. The twin goddess of vanity, it is said that one sister steals the beauty of the other and throws it into the world for the other to find. The beauty is bestowed between man and women and will have a mole above the brow in the shape of a star. Those with the beauty whom has received form the gods must guard it well, for if it is found by the worshippers of opposing sister and stolen then they receive an age of luxery. Of course if the other side keeps the beauty alive until her beauty fades then they receive the age of luxery. Despite the teachings no woman or man of beauty has been found with the mole, perhaps they mis-understand what it means to be beautiful? just some of my spit-balling ideas. I might come and jot some more down, but in 30 mins Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition comes out... so I might be.. a little busy Tsu
  4. It will most likley be in the way the prior games did it (BG, IWD and PS:T). By that, in case you haven't played is that you get experience depending on your actions, quests completed, kills etc. however, the more party members you have the more the experience is shared. So playing it alone will level you up to be powerful enough to handle a scenario, having six players will have each one under leveled, but the group dynamic and synergy comes into play. So no matter if you play on your own, or with others you get the 'right' level of difficulty to the adversity you face. I am, of course assuming this is how they will do it for this one.
  5. I am happy for sex/romances to be in the game, but I would like something along the lines of Jheria Plot-line from BG2 and not something trashy which I consider some of the scenes in Mass Effect to be. So, basically, for me.. yes please, but no trashy and for it to have context. If its a companion plot line, then expand on it further than just cuddling up to a fire place. I think I am just in love with how it was done with BG2 to be honest... I miss those days
  6. Firstly, thank you for actually making a Kick Starter on this, I was begining to believe that Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition would be my only salvation to experience the thrill of these much loved games. You have my vote 100% I am a little nervous about it to be honest, purely because I am a long long time fan of Baldur's gate, Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment which to this day remains one of the best RPG's I have ever played with it's mastery over narrative excellence. From the trailer it sounds like you wish to keep all these successful elements from those three games which makes me even more excited about the finished project and I hope we will be teased during it's development with all kinds of spoilers to fuel the excitement and I am not along, standing at one day strong on kickstarter you are almost already near your target. It's a GOOD day to be an RPG fan. I do have some things that I would like the game to keep, purely as a fan of the franchises fore-mentioned and these are just my preferences and I hope that the end product does keep them. Of course, how you decide to take it is down to yourselves, but I trust you on this! Keep Isometric game play, I would also prefer not to 'zoom' in to get a 3D world scape. I always liked how I had a birds-eye view of the battle field. For me, seeing everything up close is not a requirement, the prior games didn't need it and when Bioware released DA: Origins I never used it. I think it must of been more a console thing. You mention a more mature setting, which I am very excited about! I am hoping by this you mean the context that was Planescape: Torment, branching on the spiritual, philosophical and intellectual. I don't mind risque or even nudity to be honest as long as the context for it is there. I am also a big fan of companion romances, Jherias romance branches being one of my favourite especially with the sub-plots including that coneiving vixen vampire that took the complete wrath of my hammer! Voice acting, not NEEDED, it really isn't. A lot of people do prefer this as they do not like to read, almost as if reading is a dying art. But I found that reading allowed you to be more immersed into the game. BG, IWD and PS:T did it right, the only audio dialog should be exchanged during important scenes and companions as it helped set the mood. It also makes those moments more rememberable 'Jump on my SWORD whilst you can EVIL I'll not be as GENTLE!' and 'What can change the nature of man!'. My quotes might be a little off, but it has been a long time. Strong-Holds. I really enjoyed this aspect in BG2 purely because it was a great sub-plot. As such I would love lots of indepth sub-plots like this added to the game. Lots of exploration! what I loved about the series is that one map, be it north, east, south or west took you to another map to which made it feel like you were travelling through the world. I would spend hours exploring everything I could get my hands on and I had some fantastic adventures. The passage of time, day and night is always great and I would hope that this happens without the annoying cutscene of the old games. In addition, weather and seasons would be wonderful and during those condition new events and additions could be available. Also, the element of time displayed on your character would be fantastic. I loved how BG had you start as a whelp of a lad, but by BG2 you had matured into a middle aged man through your adventures. I really cared about my characters and my avatar, something I have not been able to do in a computer game for the longest of times. Stretch goals for me, in this project I would want invested in additional content. More companions, more villains, more sub-plots, more and more adventures. Epic bosses, I loved how the games handled their bosses and their was often a very emotional attachment to them, for they were the villains and you knew why you hated them as such. But I would love to fight Dragons, Chimeras and the wonderful Beholders with the same level of difficulty as I did in orig games. Customisations for your character, and unique looking items and equipment for your characters. Schematics and plans to build cool looking things would be wonderful as well. Rarities and treasures un-told! Because this is a new IP I am not sure if you are going the DnD route with it. If not, that's fine but I would like to have interactions with many many races and factions. I LOVED the Drow, after all who can resist a dominating woman soceity. This is just me spit-balling here, no matter what you do I am VERY excited to see more. Tsu
