  1. What I want is an RPG that treats you like an intelligent adult, that isn't afraid to frustrate you, and doesn't hold your hand in any way. I want an RPG that's aimed specifically at fans of RPGs and isn't dumbed down or simplified in any way just so people who are unfamiliar with RPGs find it more accessible and don't experience a steep learning curve. I also want a complex character development system with lots of stats and none of the streamlining found in most modern aRPGs.
  2. No romances please. I've never, ever, seen them done well in a video game. They usually come across as shallow, gimmicky, cheesy, or all three.
  3. As others have said, consoles just aren't adaquate for this kind of game. That has nothing to do with PC elitism or wanting to spite console gamers; it's just fact. Developing this kind of game to work on consoles as well would most probably just be a huge detriment to the PC version.
  4. I hate the way Bioware handle morality as well. It's far too obvious when interacting with NPCs, and at the same time too simplistic. I think i'd prefer a more subtle reputation system working in the background, without the blatantly obvious Good / Bad / Neutral dialogue options every time I interact with an NPC.
  5. Please consider turn-based over rtwp. It would make for a much better RPG. Some are less bothered than others, but I really don't know many RPG fans at all who genuinely enjoy rtwp combat. It's widely regarded as the biggest flaw of games like Baldur's Gate.
