  1. I had SIE as my handler, "romanced" her (which led to bonking on the last mission), ignored Mina (so she gets shot), made sure Scarlett hated my guts (-3!), and I wasn't able to get SIE on the boat. With all that in mind, I really doubt it is possible to get her on the boat. I've never gotten that option.
  2. Alrighty... decided to risk it with FO: NV UE for the PS3. Wish me luck, guys.
  3. Here's to Obsidian joining such an awesome project, and to hear of some updates soon enough.
  4. I recommend you do play it eventually. It's a lot of fun,
  5. Here's hoping it is like the Sega Genesis game. MAN was that one extremely addictive.
  6. 5-How the <bleep> did a vorcha end up as *leader* of the Bloodpack (sp?) mercenaries, when they went out of their way to explain in ME2 that they are the brainless canon fodder in a Krogan run military outfit. Having a hard time seeing a nasal whining vorcha command somebody like Grunt or Wrex around. 6-Why did the Reaper artifact in "The Arrival" not only reveal the existence of the Reapers but also gave information on their back up invasion plan? 7-How did Udina end up on the Council if you picked Anderson in ME1? 8-What happened to the poison the Reapers were using against the Krogans and how come the Salarian's sabotage didn't prevent the Reapers from using the Shroud to spread the poison? 9-Why did the Geth Dreadnought have hallways and consoles and medi-gel and all sorts of stuff that the Geth don't need? 10-Why did Legion suddenly call itself "I" and what did that have to do with it becoming a "fully realized AI?" 11-Why did EDI have to use a console to contact Admiral Hackett after they found the Prothean VI at the Cerberus base? 12-How did the Reapers take over the Citadel and why didn't they use it to shut down the Mass Relays? 13-How does anything having to do with Cerberus make any sense? Wow, lots of good questions here, lots to think about, and in the spirit of continuing the discussion: 1- Perhaps because the citadel exploded before the Normandy could get near it, and Joker was just trying to stay ahead of the blast wave? 2- This kinda bugged me too, but... to my mind, Shephard and Anderson are the only ones who get close enough to the beam to reach the citadel, and there's no telling how much time passed before Shepard wakes up in the dark. Perhaps squadmates retreated back to the Normandy during that time? 5- IIRC, most or all of the Krogan in the Bloodpack came from clan Weyrloc, who were absorbed into clan Urdnot after Mordin's loyalty mission in ME2. Perhaps Wrex called them all home? 7- My only guess is Anderson resigned from the council (where he never really wanted to be in the first place), and returned to active duty in the Alliance sometime after Shepard turned the Normandy over to the Alliance. Traynor mentions that Anderson was going to make the Normandy his new mobile command center. 8- All I can think of here is that the sabotage wasn't designed to stop the reaper poison, only to stop anyone messing with the genophage itself. LOTS OF SPECULATION FOR EVERYONE!
  7. Ok, with the recent BioWare news we got, now I'm pretty sure Weekes nor Priestly are getting booed off stage. It's just going to be one hell of a silent panel.
  8. You know has they spent every singe penny spent of the MP portion of the game all on the SP game, it would have been an utterly fantastic Mass Effect game. But they didn't. Anyways, the life draining tendrils of EA have fully entrenched themselves within BioWare. The cracks are beginning to form, and the process of encouraging the destruction within is complete. They are basically dead now. DA is pure crap. And I only bought ME3 to see the conclusion of MY Shepard. They did that and Now I wont even look at or purchase another EA game. Farewell BioWare. What's sadder is that what they had to fix -because the endings indeed need fixing, just due to the sheer amount of plot holes it has- was clear from the get-go, and instead of catering to their fanbase, you know, the guys that BUYS their products and from whom their depending on to get their paychecks, they instead decided to cater to their own massive egos and did nothing about the subject, instead coming up with nonsensical terms like "artistic integrity" and "gamers entitlement" which basically just made their fanbase reject them even more. For me, this is a simple matter of consumer demands not being met. When they're not met, your game doesn't sell. When your game doesn't sell, you better fix the damn thing or it isn't going to sell. If your game doesn't sell, then you're in BIG TROUBLE as a company that NEEDS TO MAKE MONEY. Worst of all, they decided to believe on their own PR rather than their fanbase and go with the "this marks a bad precedent for gaming" if the endings were to be changed. Hey, sorry to burst your bubble Bioware, but Bethesda did it for Fallout 3 and Broken Steel, and with all due respect to Bethesda, when even THEM end up behaving better to their fanbase than YOU, you're doing something very, VERY wrong. The whole fiasco has been rather pathetic, really. It's not even funny how they were so close to being legendary and out of an extremely stupid move, they fell flat on their faces. Mass Effect 3 seems to be the Heaven's Gate of our time. A form of media heavily based on the "autheur theory" that all it does is show how the "autheur theory" just DOES NOT WORK AT ALL.
  9. I'm thinking its going to be something like this. http://shannon.users.sonic.net/masseffect/
  10. REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BioWare, a Label of Electronic Arts Inc. announced Mass Effect
  11. Although I do agree on the pistol bit, Hicks did kill an Alien with a shotgun on the movie. Vazquez did shoot a couple of aliens too with a pistol after getting stuck on the vents with Gorman. Don't remember if she actually killed any, though.
  12. I hope they are more up to date regarding mr. Weekes, his opinions and impact on the games he has worked on, than you are. Oh, don't get me wrong, I know that Weekes is a nice fellow and was (allegedly) one of the first ones to stand up and say the ending wasn't all that good, not to mention it wasn't done or worked on as the rest of the game was. Plus, I've heard he wrote some of the best bits of the game. To explain myself: he's gonna get booed off stage after what they announce isn't what the fans want them to announce. There's a reason why neither Mac or Hudson are going. Want to guess why? Everybody knows they're sending Weekes because he IS one of the most liked -if not the most- they have on their whole staff.
  13. Currently I'm on my third Alpha Protocol run.
  14. If anything, I just hope the Obsidian crew get us some good pictures of Weekes (from the Bioware panel) being booed off the stage, xD That thing is going to be intense, I tell you. The backlash is going to be HUGE if they don't announce something that meets their fanbase's demands and expectations.
  15. No offense, but the console market just isn't going anywhere for a while. iPads, iPods, and lots of iStuff are making a dent on the market, sure... on the "casual" market. As any guy who started on the 90s (or the 80s at that), ask any guy who likes to play Halo, Call of Duty, the self-called "Hardcore" gamer (the term on itself is silly, but that's another subject). Do you think they will change their 360s or PS3s for iStuff? Short answer, no, they won't. Same happens for the 3DS and Vita. Maybe if they weren't selling I would agree with you, but since they are, I think it's a little TOO soon to say the console market and the upcoming console wars are "dead". Like I say, those are here to stay for quite a while. Just my two cents, though.
  16. Well, being completely honest, I did replay ME2 like crazy back in the day, but that was mainly because every single decision and quest were relevant to the ending. Loyalty, who you took in your party, who you send to do what on the suicide mission. It was neat. Mass Effect 3... yeah... not so much. After one single playtrough, I've yet to touch it again. Rather stick with AP. Don't see any DLCs being able to fix the horrible limitations of that game, being completely honest. Specially with how Bioware has handled the whole fiasco to begin with.
  17. "handler" Actually, scratch that. The guide I read was apparently wrong. You can't get a SIE ending. Damn shame, really. Was really looking forward to that. Guess the devs didn't know there would be some guys who were going to be into her and her insane accent, xD
  18. Oh, that I do know and, needless to say, have done so. Many times. Still not enough SIE time, though. Just use SIE as your handler for the last mission and don't romance either Mina or Scarlett. Of course, you need to romance her too.
  19. AP is horribly unbalanced, has shooting mechanic that takes sometime to get used to, was advertised as an action rpg and as an action game it is rather poor, start with unimpressive "GrayBox" level and "OrangeBox" levels. And that's just top of my head. AP is a good game, but it most definitely isn't without it's flaws. Well, I really never had issues with either balance or its shooting mechanics, being completely honest. I can understand the ad being completely misleading though: this game is many things, but it is NOT an action rpg, let alone an action game per se. Didn't really mind the "GrayBox" levels, since you can actually skip those. I know it has flaws, sure, but the ones I MIND are mostly its graphical glitches and bugs, really. And SIE doesn't appear enough.
  20. On the PS3? Really bad. F3 already suffered from it and so did Release Skyrim. Basically at a certain point the game can become unplayable and crash almost instantly. There are examples of people that managed to get through normally but chances are good you are going to encounter it. Even with the patches?
  21. Ok, I'll get that next then. Afraid I'm stuck with PS3 only. Have no 360 and I'm running on an Aspire One, first gen. Not the best PC to run games. If I could survive ME2 and ME3 (which were glitch-fests on the PS3), I think I can handle New Vegas. As long as they're not game-crashing or save-corrupting bugs, that is.
  22. Honestly? I like that every single choice actually matters (unlike... well, you know...), What I disliked? Huh... well, guessing the graphics were a bit glitchy, and I did get stuck once on a ladder once after I started to go down and suddenly a friendly soldier unit went down too, locking me in place and forcing me to load the last checkpoint. Other than that... I really can't think of anything else. Is "needs more SIE" a valid complain? xD
