I'd like to chime in here. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I've played RtwP games since the early 90's but have always had an affinity towards turn based games. This has opened up a WHOLE NEW realm for me in this game. I really enjoyed it before but now i'm LOVING it because it's a whole new thoughtful perspective on playing the game for me. Even leveling up has me taking more time to properly plan my turn-based strategies. I can't express enough my gratitude for the time you all took to bring this aspect to your game for us TB lovers. Once again, thank you!

Turns out it was a bad file. Started a new game and when I got to the beach and it brought up the options for Eder, instead choosing skills for him I instead got " *Missing String -1" . I did a validation of the files via Steam and it gave me a message of "1 file not able to be validated. Will reacquire". I relaunched the game and now all is well. Thanks for suggestions all. LOVE this game and glad to be past this small obstacle!

That was my thought as well but I was unable to locate a toggle for that in the options. I unchecked the one for "New" npc's joining the party but that was the only one I found. Now even if I go back to earlier saves even going back weeks ago, same thing happens. Must be something I accidentally hit or toggled but I have no idea what that is. Hopefully its not a bug. would hate to have to shelve this until its fixed.

I'm stuck. My team reached level 16 today and for some reason when I attempt to level up my party, it will let me choose my active and passive skills, but it auto selects my abilities and new Weapon selection and auto-jumps to the final level screen. It skips directly through those two options without giving me the option to choose my own. This is not on new characters just joining, these are my party members from the beginning. I save my game for each levels we reach so I went back to level 15 and the same thing happens. Not sure how to proceed as I don't want the game choosing my new abilities and spells. I'm not using any mods just the vanilla game and the dlc that has come out for it. Any others having this issue or know of something (like an option box) I might just be missing?

Ah okay. That's my actual issue. My other "in-game" loads/saves so far are fine. Slightly long but not game breaking. I went into my savegame directory and deleted all of my saves prior to the last two days but that doesn't work. When you launch the game, it checks that directory and if they're missing it puts them back. I don't have that many savegames anyway so that's probably not the solution. Try deleting them from within the game, which doesn't take very long once they've loaded. I did that to decrease the delay and they haven't reappeared on my steam version. Brilliant idea and thanks. That works. I kept just 4 saves and the load screen comes up immediately now. I'm sure however that the devs are working on fixing this issue as well at some point down the line.

The patch didn't fix this for me. When I first launch the game and it's loading the saved games, it spins now for approximately 15 - 20 seconds before showing "Continue" and "Load". I've got 8 characters and probably about 35 hours in. I'm on an Alienware box with dual 780's, 16gigs memory and the game is installed on an SSD with over 150gb's of space left.

Same here as well. "Unpaid" status even though in my keep listings it shows them as receiving their payments.

I got an email from Obsidian confirming that if you join as a slacker backer, their Backer portal will be open within the next month or so that will let you include add-ons and raise your tiered level. I have joined and can't wait. Thanks all!

There wont be a retail release. So if you want a boxed version your only bet would be here through backing. Check the prices on the Kickstarter page... Oh. Okay thanks. I will do so although it appears that the only thing available is the "Slacker Backer". But if that's all that's available, then I guess that's the way to go. Would've loved the physical copy, cloth map...etc however.

Welcome friend. Can't wait for that Backer website so I can hopefully select a Physical box set.

If this is the case that that would be wonderful. I will so post haste once this is confirmed. I would love to donate just as i did with the new and upcoming Torment game, but i prefer buying the Box sets as opposed to digitally downloading. So if donating will only get me the digital version, then it's not something i'm overly keen on doing. I'd prefer to just wait until the game comes out and then purchase the box set retail. However again, if I can somehow bump up my pledge (as stated in the above reply), I would do so immediately. I really appreciate the replies gentlemen.

I am an old school RPG veteran going way back to the early 90's. My favorite games EVER are the Baldur's Gate series and Planescape: Torment. I'm currently a very large backer for the new "Torrment: Tides of Numenera" upcoming 2015 game. I just found out today about "Project Eternity" and I was wondering if there is any way I can still become a backer. I saw the availability to become a "Slacker Backer" but i'd like to donate more than that to receive a higher tier. Is this in any way possible? Thanks! Tye "Women were the reason I became a Monk....and ah....the reason I switched back."
