  1. KP I am glad you have joined the illustrious and winning team of the Promancers, there is hope for you yet I am not sure how practical MP Romance is, I am not a fan. But here is a updated link around the Romance options in BG3, its still not clear to me the Romance implementation ....its still nebulous with the current information https://www.gamepur.com/guides/will-baldurs-gate-3-have-romance-options
  2. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/sheriff-claims-protesters-blocked-la-hospital-where-two-officers-are-being-treated-after-ambush-shooting/ar-BB18ZhQo Absolutely unacceptable behavior by BLM or other activists celebrating the shooting of 2 LA sheriffs I am disappointed there isnt some law where people who demonstrate this behavior can be arrested ?
  3. We had a fantastic weekend away, we stayed on a farm called De Hoek just outside the small town of Barrydale. I went on a hike on Saturday and the food was self-catering which my sister and stepmom arranged so we ate like kings It was about 2.5 hours drive outside CPT in an area called The Karoo which is basically a semi-desert with vast sweeping mountain ranges and arid, ancient landscapes. I have tried to include photos below which encapsulate the trip and beautiful scenery. One of the highlights of the drive was going through a mountain, underground pass called the Huguenot Pass. It is a about 2.8 miles and a marvel of modern engineering
  4. Minsc was always part of my BG2 journey, I liked him and Boo I always decide what members are part of any party based RPG based on the criteria below and they rated from most important to least important I consider the intrinsic value that the character adds to combat and other tasks like healing and the vast range of pertinent thieving skills I consider the actual RP aspect that the character adds and the things they say or represent , for example what is the persons history and what they stand for? Being a Romance option is definitely part of this so Isabella, Morrigan and Viconia were always part of character choice in games like DA and BG2 I consider there " sub-quests" and what these quests mean to my overall RP objective So in summary I made Minsc and Kagain my tanks in BG2 and they never really disappointed me so Minsc is good in my books
  5. Gorthfuscious !!! Stop being coy and reticent....its extremely rude and we have established how polite people from Nordic countries generally are so there is no real excuse to be rude like saying " Im French or Russian " which would be understandable if you were being rude What exactly is in the container? What are these "childhood " items of nostalgic value. Somethings in life have an intrinsic, sentimental value and we keep them forever I gave away and sold most of my possessions when I moved to CPT but I transported to CPT my vast collection of Conan comics, all my books, my Games Workshop board games like Talisman and other things from my past that I will always keep
  6. That was a really good video and was perfect timing for our recent discussion around the Nordic countries. It was really funny and made me laugh several times, what is really clear is all the people interviewed are nice people, well meaning and there opinions of the other countries are not malicious or personal. I particularly laughed at there views on Finland " a weird, older sibling that we need to take care of " but actually meant in a nice way
  7. Hi All I nearly forgot to mention this inauspicious day 19 years ago, the War on Terror has come a long way since then and the world has made huge inroads against Islamic extremism But many people have died and still are killed to make the world a better place in this ideological struggle so its still ongoing. I always reflect on the innocent deaths that day and what I was doing when I first heard about the attack on the Twin Towers 9/11, never to be forgotten
  8. Its definitely the most important election when US citizens have to chose between Biden or Trump as president No one can dispute that Gorthfuscious ...the fact is its also the only election in the history of US elections where people have this choice but thats not the point .
  9. Great post, I definitely dont think anyone can predict this election as both candidates have valid policies that resonate with the US voters on both sides of the left and right....its the undecided voters that will decide the election that interest me and who knows what will truly sway there voting decision? Oh also I think this election is important but not the most important election of the time.....dont certain politicians always say that about previous elections ?
  10. http://karoospace.co.za/barrydale/ This weekend we going away to stay in a little, tourist town called Barrydale. Its part of the spending time with my Dad and Cpt family and I am leaving today at 3 pm I am looking forward to some hiking and visiting any historical places
  11. This type of appalling corporate behavior is exactly what corporate image doesnt need ......it just reinforces the unfair, negative view that exists where citizens feel large private sector companies are corrupt and feel they are above the same laws and regulations that normal citizens have to adhere to You seem to have several issues with the general governance and accountability of your business and public sector in Oz Gorthfuscious which happens in every country but its normally addressed when laws are enforced and people get successfully prosecuted.....but when no one ever ends up going to jail this increases the sense of impunity ...like the Oz banking scandal link you shared?
  12. Sometimes time is money but sometimes people get involved in DIY or fixing there own cars because there is a sense of satisfaction and pride ....they genuinely prefer to do it themselves and sometimes they can do the same job as a " professional " and not pay for it
  13. Im the complete opposite, I have huge respect for CDPR. They are one of my absolute favorite gaming companies, They created the Witcher series and GOG.....now GOG is amazing, I can finally play games that due to Apartheid in SA in the 1980's it was difficult to find locally, games like the Ultima series, Wizardry, Might and Magic, Bards Tale etc. And the Witcher 3 is probably my favorite RPG of all time next to BG2 ToB Yes as you guessed I dont just drink the " CDPR Kool-aid " ....no sir, not me. I quaff it
  14. Gfted1 !!!! Im shocked....you know that one part of the "white male privilege code "...we ALWAYS change our own oil
  15. Thanks., I need to go through this properly before I can comment and or change my previous opinion
  16. Not at launch, I normally wait about 3 months to play any newly released PC game so I can use Mods and all important hotfixes and updates have been applied But Im definitely buying it
  17. Guys here is an excellent advert for VW cars, its old but brilliant ....listen to the song and how it aligns to the message of durability and longevity around there cars
  18. The Stalker series are excellent post-apocalyptic games, I loved the METRO series of similar games but I find Stalker to be harder and more rewarding from a personal RP perspective when you end up surviving certain battles and encounters
  19. Mamie why arent you playing DK3 and how would you compare DS1-3 for someone who has never played any games from the franchise, I have DS1&2 on Steam but I have never played them before. I see their are several Mods on Nexus for these games and that generally is always a good sign around real support amongst the fanbase and sustainability for any game
  20. I agree and also there have been several countries that sadly suffered a terrible price initially due to none of us understanding the real nature of the virus spread and certain things about the virus that we now know like asymptomatic carriers , the deadly risk that medical staff face with being exposed to multiple sick people without PPE , the fact the virus molecules float in the air and thats why confined spaces like clubs and bars become virus spread breeding grounds and also how younger people can get the virus but the mortality is very low and how most young people are asymptomatic This understanding of the virus we now have was gained at a cost to many countries like Italy, Spain and parts of the USA but particularly NY. One day when the virus spread has been addressed with the vaccine this will be properly discussed and the sacrifice these places made needs to be recognized. And of course many other countries also have suffered and there contribution also matters like China and SK. But what happened around the initial virus impact in Italy, Spain and NY was the first time international news networks had complete and unrestricted access to the reality of the virus and the rest of the world got to see it ......and it was huge shock to most of us I will never forget the haunting and evocative images of the initial deaths of medical staff in these countries, the hospitals overflowing and people literally dying in the corridors and this famous video in Spain of people paying tribute to medical staff going to work in a time where the virus had killed and was killing medical staff due to lack of global understanding in correct PPE Anyway in summary I just want to say I wish some people and some media houses in the USA would stop being surprised with Trumps lack of knowledge around the virus or constantly focusing and being " shocked " on what he says about the virus when the scientific data is globally available around certain things we should already know
  21. I have thoroughly enjoyed this discussion you guys from Scandinavia have had on culture and language, especially the anecdotal stories and views between you and Gorthfuscious You know what I realized about 5 years ago due to interaction on this forum? Anecdotal stories and real sentiment on the ground ( which is expressed through mediums like a forum ) sometimes give you more understanding of peoples views and aspirations than actual data analysis , media commentary and reporting and statistics. Dont misunderstand me, these previous points are absolutely critical in understand most things but sometimes these "accurate and scientific " measures can miss certain underling realities and that makes correct political and economic policy occasionally well meaning but flawed Anyway this discussion has been humorous and insightful but based on your actual lived experience and lived experience is important to understand the entire story behind a place, event or moment in history
  22. I agree with you Hurlshot, there is nothing wrong with the odd drink and alcohol can help with many problems
  23. This is true and it was a legitimate awarding of the prize considering the reality at the time and the real consideration which was how close Israel and the Palestinians got to real peace Also you could negotiate with the PLO ....but now you have Hamas who are happy for Palestinians to die in the objective of " not recognizing Israel has a right to exist " ....a pointless ideological view and just adds another hurdle to real compromise and discussion around a lasting peace solution for the region
