Limited Resources Problem
maxastro replied to GeneralMajesty's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
You may still be too early in the game to have found this out, but all of the upgrade materials are fully renewable later in the game - much, much later in the game for the highest tier materials, but at a pretty reasonable point for low and mid tier. -
Sometimes, when leaving the range of a scannable item, such as a molar, the scanner will not turn off; it will get stuck on the lowest level of detection (single flashing light) regardless of how far you get from the molar. This seems to especially happen if you zipline away from the location of a molar.

I have been in the sandbox for 3 hours

To clarify, feedback is great! And most of your posts are fine. It's stuff like this I'm talking about: Throwing in jabs at the developers like that makes them much more likely to just ignore your entire post. If you leave off that sentence, the rest of your feedback is good. -

Man, Anon Cannon, I recognize you are frustrated by things, but you have four posts here and all of them involve insulting the game or the devs in some way. Not really a good way to get your feedback listened to, you know? -
I highly suggest instead of using food for healing, use trash smoothies. Mix a muscle sprout with any three items that aren't a smoothie recipe, and you'll get a smoothie that instantly heals a big chunk of health. Great way to use up trash bug parts you don't need and keep a good supply of healing on hand. I do like your pet ideas though!

If you haven't tried the cookery meals, you may not have noticed, but they all give a buff that "freezes" your hunger for 15+ minutes. If you plan on going on long adventures they are a huge boon, because a single meal will not just fill up your hunger, but keep your hunger from going down at all the rest of the day.

So far, I have killed 2 widows and gotten a total of 1 super spider venom. The widow dagger requires four. As far as I can tell, there aren't even four widows in the whole yard. And this isn't a "just for bragging rights" weapon, either - it's a required progression item for a lot of the end game gear. Is there a reason it's such a grind? Could the venom requirement be reduced a bit? Widows are annoying to fight in the first place.

For some reason the HUD toggle for the quest map markers at the JavaMatic doesn't work; the markers can't be turned off. Considering they are the kind of permanent marker that is visible even when you aren't looking at them, this is super annoying if you aren't ready to start the final quest yet. Please let us toggle the map marker off.

I do love the number of secrets, and I love how the game doesn't hold you hand for most of them. That's definitely something I really enjoy. But sealing the Haze feels less like a secret and more like an intended part of progression? It feels like we have missed the "intended" path of the game by not realizing until so late.

Re: the wheelbarrow - it's possible to relocate grass and stem pallets even if they are fully loaded, and there's no limit to how far you can relocate something. I just "drag" the pallet to where the stems are, fill it up, and then "drag" it back.

It would be nice if there was a quest in the quest rotation to seal the haze, if it's not sealed, to nudge players in that direction. My partner and I didn't realize it was an option - we made it all the way to finding the burrs in the flower pot on the shed porch, wondered where to find more, and ended up Googling it. There's not really any obvious hints that sealing the Haze is how you get burr weeds, or even any hints that it's possible.

Please Change the Huck Function to be Contextual
maxastro replied to KnightX13's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
I have definitely accidentally hucked things before - but I should note there is no "non-huckable" weapon, and in fact most weapons do a solid chunk of damage when hucked. I used to huck my axe at ants when they tried to run away.
