  1. Fast travel, at least through the maps you've already been to. I'm pretty sure some 20% of my Deadfire playtime was spent sailing.
  2. That's surprising. The only megaboss I've killed so far was specifically Hauani o Whe and as boring as it was, once I figured out the padrons and got one more DPS I did manage to kill it without much trouble, other than using some healing potions since Eder had to go to the other side of the screen to tank of one the blobs once it separated. Granted, I used chanter summons as bait. In SSS however, regardless of how long challenges were, if I did not do something specific at the very beginning it was a sure loss. The Nagas for example. If I didn't at least destroy the totems immediately it was a sure loss. Again, to me having to act desperately and to something very specific to win fights (and all chance based, one missed interrupt and it was over) is not good design to me.
  3. I "did". As I said, some of the challenges are simply not possible depending on your party. The Shades might be the worst example, but it is not doable with a DPS MC like mine. One needs a party built for such and encounter, and I don't think this is good design.
  4. I thought PotD in POE1 to be way more manageable, since enemies only got a fixed bump when upscaled whereas in POE2 they scale to your level, or in bosses cases, up to 2 or 3 levels above you, even if at level 20. By level 16 in POE1 I could destroy everything, which to me is not a problem if you minmax and go after the best gear. In POE2 I think I just managed to reach the end of the DLC BECAUSE I minmax and have the best gear. With like a flavour character the DLC is impossible. Hell, maybe even the main game is. If that happened, maybe Obsidian should've tried a middle ground. I survived, but I can see people getting turned off by the difficulty.
  5. I have just "finished" SSS on PotD upscaled, which I started at level 20. And by "finished" I mean that I finished all the challenges on the path I chose, the Slayer one, plus the main quest and Porokoa fight. I thought that the difficulty was a bit exaggerated. Having to respec and change party members, gear and have all types of consumables for each fight is not fun, at least to me. Some of the challenges are downright impossible depending on your party composition, such as the Shades one. Enemies have too much HP. The Porokoa had 4k+ and each MINION had 1k+ HP. For a game in which you have very limited per encounter resources I find this to also limit which parties can actually beat these encounters. In my case I used a Tactician/Priest to keep healing and buffing once the enemy numbers diminished, but this can not be done in every fight. I know the DLC is supposed to be some sort of "challenge mode". But is this necessary when the difficulty setting is already hard enough?
  6. I've hit level 20 with my marauder character, and though not exaclty an issue, his accuracy has been bothering me a little, because it interferes with DPS. He is a dual wield that has many weapon setups but all legendary, and he always stays at 105 or 110 (when using daggers) acc with +1 PER cloak and +1 PER necklace. However I've been seeing some pics of endgame Marauders with 115~118 acc, this is a huge difference and I remember my Rogue at level 16 in POE1 with 124 acc both hands. Is this a bug? If not, how dual wield reaches 118 acc?
  7. I've just finished Paradise of the Mind and as with the other side quests, I normally read a guide to check wether I've missed something. It turns out that I've missed a lot, including the achievement that did not trigger. I started the quest by going directly to the Sea Lashed Crypt, and I did not talk to Copperhead or Zulka. Now they do not spawn, and I don't have the achievement. I would ask for the support to at least unlock the achievement for me, this is a DAMN hard quest, probably the hardest in the entire game, and I want to remind myself that I did it.
  8. I think continuously using assassinate is only possible through brilliant aspiration. I tried the Slippers, but sadly is once per encounter. Assassins seem really underwhelming in this game.
  9. Searching for an Assassin build I stumbled upon this PL7 Fighter skill called Power Strike. It is melee only and hits for +200% damage and 4 penetration, therefore, it can deal very high damage if combined with assassinate and backstab. It sucks that I wanted to become Devoted with Arquebus. I would like to ask you for the best weapon to complement this combo, and if someone who knows console commands can test to see if, and to what extent, it works (that is, how much damage it can deal).
  10. I see, then I have my weapon combo with Scordeo's and Rust's. Salvation of time became a must to me now.
  11. Man how do you attack so fast? I'm using dual daggers, pukestabber and have two bonuses drinking rum, and my character does not attack this fast even when frenzied.
  12. If that is so, then it is doable with the marauder using Rust's stiletto which knocks enemies prone on a crit, which in my case is already around 50% of the time at level 8.
  13. Threatening presence is not very relevant for PotD though. And Mega bosses are all above lvl 20 aren't they? Since you seem to be a seasoned player, do you know a good strategy for melee dps against Dorudugan?
  14. I also think this is a big issue for people that like melee MC. In PoE1 by the endgame wasn't a big issue because my rogue would dish out so much damage that any enemy would die before hitting him. But in PoE2 you have all this super early bosses and mega bosses, and them always focusing on the dps character is simply unfair to these classes. Fighters like in other RPGs should have a provoke ability where they would keep the others from aggroing.
  15. Hi guys, I'm playing a Marauder lvl 8 and currently stuck on the Enwithan Titan fight in Poko Kohara. I'm using Pukestabber with another exceptional dagger offhand. The issue is that the titan always forgets about Eder and comes after the PC, which is my main source of damage, and both he and Xoti have no HP and healing sufficient to kill the thing. If he tries to run during the titan's recovery he also take disengagement hits. Are there ways to keep enemies from turning to the dps characters? Or ways to disengage safely?
  16. I did download the mod. It is so to not lose the achievements. I just want the console for the armor.
  17. Thanks for the answer. What I mean by Unity not working is that the console doesn't pop up. Do you have it with the game's latest patch?
  18. Hi guys, I've recently started a Deadfire playthrough after beating PoE and importing my save file. In PoE I allowed the Devil to get her revenge and sacrificed her at the pool, which I thought would trigger her Breastplate in Deadfire according to what I had read, that she just had to be dead in PoE. Well it is not appearing. So what I did was to download the Unity Console to get the brute way. But it is not working, and I can't find anything about it. The thing is, I think I deserve that damn armor. The game is only getting fun now that I got past the bull**** (Maje island on PotD) and I can actually see my character improving. I had planned his whole build with the armor in mind, given that he being a Marauder would benefit from the resistance to intelligence affliction and stop hitting Eder. Can someone help?
