I thought you were playing on PC, where DLC is included. My bad.
-
Maybe about mechs and Raiden, nothing else. Did you play through Samuel's chapter as well? Or other DLC?
-
No they wouldn't. Dual wielding guns sways anyone.

Definitely the original. It is much rougher than JA2, but it has quite a bit of charm to it. Yes the first game. The soul of the game is the same,i might claim it's even better in the original. Everything you know from JA2 is there. Mercs have crazier personalities and you can't hire just anyone on day 1, you have to prove yourself before better mercs are available. You can only hire max 8 mercs, but since there's never more than 8 enemies in 1 sector, that's enough to have a mechanic repairing and native guide and still shouldn't have problems in combat. Combat is simpler of course, no burst or autofire, not that many weapons, no stances and merc inventory size is small. But it's very fun. The graphics is the one thing other than the mercs that really attracted me once and still does today. That pixelated look is just gorgeus. a picture from the other thread to show some of it. http://i.imgur.com/8Nvcv60.png If you like JA2, i recommend you give the original a try as soon as you can.

Jagged Alliance. day 3. got my modified .357 fixed and liberating Brenda's lab.

Didn't they lower that to 45$ quite fast? ( Yes, it's 45€ ≈ 60$ in Europe, but that is Steam's fault.)

I thought Egil was the only character he killed. I know he gets Oddleif, but apparently the mender can heal some people but not the ones I like. :\ Yup this is one of many way that Egil dies, but like i said, i used him a lot unlike the others. And yes only Edil dies, other are just injured for a few days. So other than pissing me off, you also lose on 2 trophies since Allette kills a man and Egil is dead. Maybe i should have played one a little bit and got the other helmed bastard kill trophy before i loaded, but i don't really care anymore. It's funny how the warning you get at he beginning ( from tryggvi i believe), not to trust men with helmets is actually quite accurate. Yes the camera can cause problems, but i had actually had more difficulties with cutting itself. When i bought the game i expected to cut right away when you move the stick in chosen direction, but you actually cut in that direction once you let go or move the stick again. Sure when creating minced meat, that's not a problem, but it was with "surgical" cuts. Sure i got used to it later, but it still bothers me a little.

Yes, because we are talking about oversized labias and especially clitori and the wet pants that female game characters have.
-
Which? The big betrayal , where you can't do anything to prevent it at that point. So i had to load back 2 or 3 chapters and never took the damn characters along. I just didn't want to lose a useful character compared to someone i only used to get a trophy.

Oh FFS Stoic. I hate such things. So hours of playthrough wastd because of some stupid gimmick.
-
Banner Saga. I play it slow since i don't really know what to think about it.
-
I don't see anything fun there. Maybe the fact, that FPS don't really interest me much anymore, is also a factor in that. Oh well.
-
i had this on CD and now i have the HD version on PSN xD Wasn't Road Rash more about beating up/crashing the other drivers up during high speed races?

Yes, you should play JA1 again this year, for it's 20th anniversary. :D I thought i'd give the JA2 mod with ja1 content a try, but something about the original is just not present there. Anyway, DG is the same BUT since it's 1 sector missions only, you don't really get the chance to play like you'd want to. The mission goals are sometimes quite a bother as well. THen there's the mortars that completely change everything. Other than all that and firing from croch position, it's pretty much the same game. Enemy AI might have gotten an upgrade as well, but i don't really remember.

Don't mention weapons, they ruined most of his combos or removed them. He was also slower and afaik you couldn't even cancel attacks. Anyway the point i'm trying to make is that Dante was the afterthought of DMC4, everything was about Nero. Even the enemies.
-
Let's start this bloodbath then.
-
DMC4 probably edges out in terms of combat depth, though it's an overall worse game. Doesn't help that they seem to have focused more on further developing Dante's playstyle than fleshing out Nero's... what do you mean developing Dante's playstle? They removed moves from him not adding anything important. Changing styles on the fly with dpad is not really a focued development.

Try playing DMC3 with m&kb it's like someone is pegging you with a pineapple. Not that I....ugh...know anything about that, mind you. Why would you want to use a mouse in DMC3? It played just fine with keyboard alone, Though that was back in the day when i wasn't spoiled by controllers yet. I don't think i could play DMC3 at all today.

Preloading Banner Saga.
-
Point taken. Still, even in 2010 I shouldn't have had to play ****ty Camera Angle: The Video Game. True, but the thing is aparently everyone gets the damn thing wrong, even in 2014. :/
-
Well the game is from 2010.
-
20 years old this year, still my favorite.
-
And don't use quicksave. It should be played the way it was originally.
-
Just finished the story portion of NNK. Off to finish the other stuff and invest another 50 hours.
-
Did you like the graveyard scene? I'm mentioning it because i repeated that the most. I played on hard though. I always thought deckers had little choices. Guess i should pay more attention next time.
