I am playing on Hard, Epic Store release, and had the game completely lose all saves / game progress and gray out the save / load options, WHILE PLAYING - After about 6 hrs of gameplay, while playing, the save menu shows no previous saves, and load is now grayed out. Also, again, if I press Quicksave, I get the Save Unsuccessful message. The Save Game folder is there, contains lots of folders / files, but I cannot continue, load, and even if I do select Save, it says Save Successful, but if I chose Save again, no previous saves are listed and Load is still grayed out. So all gaming progress has been lost, and I'm REALLY not feeling like starting over again. I have the Epic Store release. It appears that the game created a save folder with some seriously messed-up permissions, to the point where I cannot even manipulate the folder it created. Not able to even rename the folder.

Once again, I find there's a game developer who's decided that everyone is exactly the same and loves and/or can play properly with WASD. Why? What is wrong with you people that you don't realize that left-handed people, people with one hand, or people with problems with their fingers, or Just Because! don't want to play with WASD? This is a VERY basic and expected feature in a game - to be able to remap the keys. I DON'T / CAN'T play with a controller, and I need to use the right-side of the keyboard, NOT WASD. Fix.This.Oversight!

After playing for a couple of hours, I noticed that when pressing Quick Save or even when an auto-save would happen, I would instead get a message that the game failed to save. (SAVE UNSUCCESSFUL). I found that my last working save was a long while earlier, setting my gameplay back, so I was then fed up and just quit. I then went to the folder where the saves are stored, only to find that several of the folders give errors and permission messages when trying to open them. I then tried to set the permissions on the folder only to find that I could not set the permissions to full control for myself, users, etc. I was shown as the owner of the folder, but this was the error when trying to open the folders: You Must Have Read Permissions To View The Properties On This Object. Or simply ACCESS DENIED What sort of buggy crap is this?! You can see my gameplay and the error at this link:
