[3.7.0.1318] Adventures award too much exp
Fhav6X replied to Fhav6X's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
The Game shows it without the 0. -
I know the topic is old, but this fits best here. Some explanation what the numbers behind the types mean. Damage types 0 = Slash, 1 = Crush, 2 = Pierce, 3 = Burn, 4 = Freeze, 5 = Shock, 6 = Corrode, 7 = Count, 8 = None, 9 = All, A = Raw ---------------------------------------- Effect type 0 = Beneficial, 1 = Hostile, 2 = All ------------------------------------------- Ability types ( If you see "EffectType" in an ability, talent, spell etc, it actually means this "Ability types" and not the "Effect types" from above.) 0 = Undefined, 1 = Equipment, 2 = Ring, 3 = Spell, 4 = Attribute, 5 = Ability, 6 = Talent, 7 = Consumable, 8 = Racial, 9 = WeaponOrShield, 10 = Trap, 11 = Count ---------------------------------------- Stat types 0 MaxHealth, 1 MaxStamina, 2 Health, 3 Stamina, 4 MeleeAccuracy, 5 RangedAccuracy, 6 Deflection, 7 Fortitude, 8 Reflex, 9 Will, 10 The item enchantments reliable, predatory, deceptive and probably also the others from the attack resolution group are not triggering (extensively tested with multiple items). Spell with the same effects like displaced image and merciless gaze do work. I haven't found anything online. If this is known, can somebody tell me how to resolve this?

[3.7.0.1318] Adventures award too much exp
Fhav6X replied to Fhav6X's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I did not expect a response. Game is to old and I am very late to it. With dnspy one can easily correct the above mentioned line in the assembly-csharp.dll. -
[3.7.0.1318] Adventures award too much exp
Fhav6X replied to Fhav6X's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I have been poking a little with eternitykeeper and it seems the overload exp comes from the code line int num2 = this.DeferredXP * (num + StrongholdAdventure.PercentXPFromPlayer) / 100; The "+ StrongholdAdventure.PercentXPFromPlayer" is responsible for the second (0.75 not-in-party-penalty) and the overload exp. -
I know this won't be fixed now that PoE2 is out. Still... Adventures award more exp then intended (I think). The formula for exp rewards from adventures is as of now (Exp earned by PC)*((0.75 not-in-party-penalty)+(0.75 not-in-party-penalty)+(%Exp for adventure type)) This is about 150% and more of the PC exp. The reason why the 0.75 is applied two times can be found under public class StrongholdAdventure public void Finish(Stronghold stronghold) int num2 = this.DeferredXP * (num + StrongholdAdventure.PercentXPFromPlayer) / 100; component.Experience += num2; I think the "+= num2" must be "== num2" so that the 0.75 not-in-party-penalty is applied once.

Stronghold turns to days Mod
Fhav6X replied to Fhav6X's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Modding (Spoiler Warning!)
Version 1.2 is out. It fixes a bug in the vanilla see here https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/74559-bug-average-adventure-disappeared/ This bug occurs when a new adventure with the same turns as the current turns of an already existing one is engaged. Due to the use of the same turn-count variable the new adventure get out of bound and is removed as if it never have been there. To fix it, I had to give every adventure a different turn number. The only playable solution was, to set the base duration of an adventure to 0 and subtract on turn for every consecutive adventure. This way the adventures show negative numbers, but will all be fulfilled on the next turn. Why was this bug overlooked? Well the circumstances for it to happen are very special and very rare in an unmoded game. Due to the higher rate of Adventures in my mod this is much more likely to occur. It is sadly another example, why the turn system was not a good idea. @protopersona My mod changes file is now on the github page.- 13 replies

Stronghold turns to days Mod
Fhav6X replied to Fhav6X's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Modding (Spoiler Warning!)
@protopersona Without further look at Patchwork Launcher, I say: no, it is not compatible. And no I will not make a compatible version (not in the mood for it). I intend to release my final version this weekend. I will release a list of all the changes I have done with it. Then you can make a file for Patchwork Launcher yourself.- 13 replies

Stronghold turns to days Mod
Fhav6X replied to Fhav6X's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Modding (Spoiler Warning!)
Did you check if the Assembly-CSharp.dll is really in the PoE Managed folder. It must have 3.661.312 bytes and has to be the only one their with this name. It should not matter, if it is an already running game. And also check, if resting 5 days (15 rests) triggers taxing?- 13 replies

How to increase Level Cap?

Odd. Mine compiles flawlessly. Do the errors come up, if you use "edit method" and "edit class"? -
How to increase Level Cap?
Fhav6X replied to lautasantenni's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Modding (Spoiler Warning!)
It is under CharacterStats PlayerLevelCap in line 502. Unless it is a code leftover, I assume changing 12 to anything other will increase the level cap by the difference. -
Stronghold turns to days Mod
Fhav6X replied to Fhav6X's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Modding (Spoiler Warning!)
Update The mod is now on v 1.1. https://github.com/Fhav6X/Stronghold-turns-to-days-Mod-Sttd-/releases/tag/1.1 Adventures spawn now time based Adventure completion is still turn based Adventures no longer dependent on prestige fixed a ridicules dependency between prestige and security in the taxing algorithm (Prestige nullified security, if it got bigger. That is why one had outcomes like "500 Bandits/ 500 self" at 1pre 1sec and at 30pre and 30sec)- 13 replies

Is there a way to mod the combat speed?
Fhav6X replied to wih's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Modding (Spoiler Warning!)
You have to download dnSpy (google it) and edit the assambly-csharp.dll in "main_game_folder\PillarsOfEternity_data\Managed" with it. - In dnSpy search for "NormalTime". It is under Timecontroll. - It should be "public float NormalTime = 1f;" - Right-click on it and chose "Edit Class (C#)". A Window should pop up. - Now change "1f" to, for example, 0.5f for half speed. - Click on compile and then save the changes. -
I have made a little mod many people have requested. The title should say it already. https://github.com/Fhav6X/Stronghold-turns-to-days-Mod-Sttd-/releases/tag/1.2 also now on nexus mods https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity/mods/194 Stronghold turns to days is now on v 1.2 (final version). for version 3.7.0.1318 of Pillars of Eternity What does it do? - This mod switches the turn based taxing, adventure spawn and ingredients spawn to day based. - I kept "visitor killed" events turn based for logical reason. - Anything else (Attacks, Visitors) have been day based from the start. Taxing is now every 5 days and ingredients spawn every 24 hour. Adventures spawn roughly every 8 to 16 days. Determination of Adventure type is set about 10 days before adventure spawns. Now all adventures take ONE turn to complete, despite of negative numbers shown in the description. (Reason is in post below) To install it, follow the readme in the archive Modification was done with dnSpy. I also have to point out this assembly-csharp.dll is not written by me. I just modified it. The code is property of obsidian. Here are the links to sttd + my new mod "level and ability cap increaser (LACI)" https://github.com/Fhav6X/Stronghold-turns-to-days-Mod-Sttd-/releases/tag/1Sttd%2BLACI and https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity/mods/194
