  1. If it is a western, I don't want to see any higher technology in it from the current era, I want to see what would be there for that time period.. there are swarms of games that have modern and advanced technology.
  2. Yo, don't be dissin us raving lunatics becuz he duznt reprazent da fallout fan BASS! alzo i dunt want any trubble of u interpl@y fanboiz elze i be buztin sum hedz!!!1 CONPRENDAY? ok, I've not been around long enough, Mega, to know, but PLEASE tell me you're just messin' around with that beautiful spelling...
  3. A lastly: Don't place doors that don't open. I hate that...makes me feel like I'm missing something, even if I know there's literally nothing there... I, too, really hate unopenable doors.. and unpickable doors, because they require a specific key... so does the door on the front of my house, but I can pick the damn thing.
  4. Are you trying to play mind games? I think that talking to your mimic could be a mind game enough...
  5. Everybody else was doin' it.
  6. Woohoo! Go team!.. but I was right, it WAS over %90 accuret! Now I feel just like a game creator... gettin' burned for doing my job better than I was expected to!
  7. A western RPG certainly would stand out at this point... not a re-inactment of some long-lamented war, not medievil, or post-apocolyptic, nor futuristic... you've got guns, Calvery, bandits, cowboys and Indians.. nice diverse spectrum in an otherwise unexplored enviroment for RPGs
  8. As of this point, my clarvoience goes only so far.. until I see the premise they decide to work on, and how they chose to approch this, I really can't see a means of arbitrarily judging it and feeling like I am killing an unborn child. Which I am not apposed to, mind you... GO WOMEN'S CHOICE!
  9. I gave EXAMPLES, not guidelines. Try looking at each post with a new outlook, not looking for something that was like the last. Fallout had a good system of gameplay for being open-ended, as did Morrowind in it's own way; perhaps they will find a yet untried way to improve upon this, and that would be even better. I have always liked the ability to improve skills and thus level from the improvement of those skills via application, and in Morrowind I found an example to liken it to; maybe this, too, can be improved. However, in the event that someone does not understand what I mean by non-liniar, but guided, they have the example of Fallout to go by. It was NOT ment to suggest they copy an older game, as this is something I do NOT wish to see. I want to see something new, but I also want to express some systems I have enjoyed that perhaps they may integrate into the new premises if found applicable.
  10. I'd not like to think there's a torch to carry... rather that a new one has been lit, and hope that it will bring something new to the market that isn't just a remake of some old, dead, rotting, beaten horse.
  11. Know what I've never seen for a game? Or, a good one, rather? A western RPG! Get the guns, do the sherriff thing, be a raider, bandit, outlaw, go to the "billyards" houses... ride your horse out of the town like a bat out of hell with the gold from the bank and start up your own hideout... B) Oh yeah.
  12. Above all, I cannot put it more simply than this; I don't like classes, and I don't like being locked into a fate. I like to form myself to my enviroment, and have my skills grow as they are used, as it is put, "A la" Morrowind, or something of that nature for skill and charicter development. Likewise, I do not like to be locked into a path. Fallout 2 was, certainly, the ideal demonstration of how I like it. It's the background music that plays forever, but never really reachs the point of being all you hear.
  13. ok.. I'm proud to say I managed to get through reading this little slosh.. and now I can't even remember what the origenal topic was.. I think I drown in the bodies still playing hide-and-go-seek for their heads with a proctologist's scope.. I'll edit this after I go back and read the true topic.. perhaps some weeding would be in order? Ahh, found it.. will this game suck or not?... flattering... well, I see the many folks from the productions of various games I enjoyed, primarily Fallout, and I hope that we will not get a hodge-podge of those games that I like so much; while they were great all by their lonesomes, a grouping of them into one super-product could not turn out well.. I look hopefully to the likelyhood that I will see the skills of these creators exressed in a new, fresh idea, not a remake of an old one.
  14. Now, perhaps I am coming from an uneducated position in the finer formalities of mod-inoguration on a forum, but precisely how arrogant or, assuming I am thus, equally uneducated as me, does one need to be, to nominate themselves? Does this not hint to anyone else that there may be an issue of desire for power here? Just a bit of my two sense, lets see how many trolls decide to flame me for spelling more than %90 of my first post correctly...
