Maybe their agenda just doesn't include attacking you. Canderous teamed up with you on Taris, not all Madalorians live out their lives as mindless killing machines. Maybe a side-quest?

I had no experience with this type of game (bard's tale was really too long ago), and the first time playing KotOR was *not*easy.. Calo Nord was hard, the Mandalorian raiders were, Bandon, The One (still a difficult battle) and finally Malak. I had to do several retries before defeating Malak. KotOR is not to easy when you have no experience with this sort of game, not too hard either, it's perfectly balanced. Some ideas are taking it a bit too far. Having to run back to the hawk, or 'timeouts' are bad, bad idea's. Waiting and running up and down the same track will not make the game more fun to play. Limiting resources (medpacks) might be an idea though, it could be controlled by the difficulty settings, just as the diffculty of your opponents.. Or maybe just more opponents in a battle (6~8 wraids in a group would require a different strategy for instance) at higher difficulty settings.

Bastilla died in some versions of KotOR, a comeback, or even a brief appearance, is somewhat difficuly to stage under those circumstance. She might return for other versions of KotOR but that can not have a major influence on the story of KotOR-2

Yeah, I noticed the starforge robes, it's actually my PC. Same one appears in the recent LucasArt trailer. But I guess it's not Revan, you just get the same, or a similar set of faces to choose from - though the question as to where the robes come from remains... A lot of people made up their own follow-up story for Revan, anything the game-devs put in will likely upset those people. But lot of other people would rather get a story told to them about Revan's fate after KotOR. My preference would be if Revan simply disappeared from the stage and we don't get told a lot about his/her fate. Second best is if Revan dies somewhere in between.
