  1. Role playing isn't about gaining power and "winning."
  2. I blame the rising costs of producing games and the nil increase of the retail price. Games cost as much now as they did 10 years ago for the consumer while have increased greatly to produce.
  3. Are you sure RPGs are for you?
  4. I agree, but right now I am just "messing around" so I can get a feel of the system. When I start to make some serious inroads of the dialog and such I will most likely write it out outside the toolset and have it on paper first. I tend to write better if I first plot it out with pencil and loose leaf or with the use of note cards.
  5. Why? Rhomal and the crew there are pretty competent.
  6. Well, you guys need to do a hosted chat but this time with Chris A. and J.E.. Your guys' chatroom isn't bad, especially on how we can change the fonts and font size.
  7. I have to agree with Mr. Alanschu here. It is unfortunate that some of today's games still do not have the quality of baldur's Gate, a game that is almost a decade old.
  8. You're not a mod any more, Mr. VIP.
  9. Yes, Dodge. Every character I make has at least the Dodge feat. Far too useful.
  10. I think it makes good sense. Heavier the armor the more restrictive in one's movement becomes while gives balance for those who are high dext and those who do wear the heavy armor. Such as a Fighter with a 10 Dex and Full Plate will have a AC of 18. A Rogue with a 18 Dex and wearing a Chain Shirt will also have an AC of 18.
  11. Its less fulfilling than you think it is.
  12. Also bonuses of the same type do not stack, and heavier the armor the lower bonus you get off your Dexterity.
  13. Yep. I guess they just don't like my cheerful dispostion towards life and gaming.
  14. Probably not.
  15. That is what I would like to aim for when I work on the module. I am finally putting some effort in learning the toolset for NWN 1 in order to prepare for NWN 2. Dialogs are very complex with the number of options. I mean you have the normal dialog, insightful, the dumb dialog, and everything in between.
  16. I did it once for the whole party but it was a mock setup done to the PCs. basically there was a prophecy of some oracle hundreds of years back that heroes shall rise from the dead to save the land. Well some bugger drugged the PCs that made them appear dead and dug shallow graves. When the drug wore off they had to dig themselves out and whenthe graves' keeper saw this she went all the "The Prophecy is to be fulffilled!" crap with the PCs clueless on how they got there or where they were at. It was kind of funny for the Paladin of the group was getting obsessed about not being undead.
  17. I have been banned for life over there for a very long time. As soon they realize it is me Mr. Woo bans the account. Mind you I am very honest in my postings so after the first week or so they have figured it out its me. That David gaider is a smart one, though he doesn't hold as much as a grudge as Woo. I could make another account, but nah. I need to stop being such a pain to everyone. hell, I am surprised I haven't been banned here yet.
  18. Very good point, Eldar, and I agree with it. I mean here in the real world we don't have chosen ones but there have been individuals of very important of note through out history and even today. Sometimes it is circumstance other times it is for personal desires or piety.
  19. Can't. Banned for life at Bioware.
  20. The one question I would have asked is how easy would it be to add in new voice sets. I mean in NWN 1 it was such a pain.
  21. Evanescence - Bring Me To Life
  22. Grrr... damnable typoes.
  23. Marylin Manson and the Sneaker Pimps- Long Hard Road Out Of Hell.
  24. I crated a 1st level wizard that started out with a 21 AC when spelled up.
  25. I am trying to devise a DnD scenerio for NWN in which the PC isn't the central character to the world. In fact there are no central characters. Much like in real life people do what they do because that is what they do. You would be one of many adventurers on the same basic quest and while you are persuing one course they are persuing another, and if you meet then you meet. Of course you could fail in your side of the quest and they could succeed in thiers or vice versa. Like the Neverwinter Nights OC, when I last went through the prelude there was 5 surviving graduates. One of these five could have gone out and worked on the recovering mission while my character works on another part of the recovery mission. If they failed, such as I should see it when I show up. Make the world a bit more dynamic.
