Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm not really sure on it either, though. It's just a theory after all.

Give my Sith character more chances....
Darth_Gandalf replied to Ivan the Terrible's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
AMEN to that! I thought those were the only real times when "evil Revan" showed through. And as for the goatees, I like how my Revan head (you know the one, he looks kind of silly with an eye scar and a lip beard) grew a goatee as he slowlty turned to the darkside. That was cool! My only hangup was that there weren't more head with facial hair! I mean, look at Qui-gon and Obi-wan! Beards all over! And these guys are all clean-shaven? No way! -
the Queen of Onderon

Arrogant REALLY would not work. I mean, come on! That was the main thing that got people fed up with Bastila was how arrogant and self-centered she was. If Atris is a little bit bashful, though not quit totally introverted, it could prove to make a very cute character. -
I wouldn't argue with that. Bastila seemed to me to be almost as powerful as Revan. At least, as a light side character. Her dark side powers were stupid as a Sith. But she thought she was more powerful, well, until she acknowledged that you will always be stronger than her. Then she either joined you or had you kill her. But even then, I think she could've taken out Malak. And she was worried about his dark presence overwhelming her. I can tell you all about Malak's "Dark Presence." Santa's got more dark presents than Malak.
-
You are right. But what about the time between Bandon and Bastila? Annd remember Bastila wasn't a Sith lord for long if you were light. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Those were the times when Malak was seeking a new apprentice. Just like the time between Darth Maul's death and the selection of Darth Tyranus.
-
Definitely. Good ideas, all. And Aethelred, my most "Unready" Anglo-Saxon comrade, You are right, there were many Sith Lords. But there stands the difference between Sith Lord and Dark Lord of the Sith. Sith Lord = generic term (ie. Jedi Knight, even when one is a master) Dark Lord of the Sith = top two Sith, master and apprentice Don't you hate complicated semantics?
-
It just goes to show how ludicrously weak the Sith Lords were, if they could be creamed so easily. Or maybe it's just because you're Darth Revan. Malak and Bandon were both really easy to kill, so it's not as significant as say, killing Vader would be.
-
Heck. Akari, why don't you just pick some random little piece of info that you like a lot and we don't know about that WON'T reveal anything secret that you can't talk about. In other words, tell us something new that you know that isn't in violation of your "I can't tell you this" stuff. Did that make any sense? I'm kind of confused myself. I just want to see something new and interesting.
-
Right on. Bandon was a Sith Lord because he wasn't just an Apprentice, he was an apprentice to the Big Boss Sith Lord. It's been the same with Maul, Tyranus and Vader. All were apprentices to Sidious. All were Dark lrods of the Sith.

Is there a little more motiviation to use just one lightsaber in the game? I never saw the point of not just giving all my Jedi two.

Underestimating a Sith
Darth_Gandalf replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No kidding. That would be awesome. In KOTOR, even as a Sith, you were fighting against them right up to the final cutscene. In KOTOR: Sith Lords, it should let you BE the actual Sith, even if fighting against other Sith in some kind fo Civil War. And since the prestige classes for the Sith are available, I think that ight be an option. -
Maybe it depends on what path you choose in the beginning. Revan and Bastila could be allies at the end against the final Sith Lord, ... or they could be the Dark Lords themselves! Or maybe it's a Sith Civil War. With the Jedi all but gone, they're all bickering over who should rule. Perhaps the three Sith Lords you hear of are all independently fighting for control. Or maybe it's just like KOTOR, where there were lots of Sith, but only three or four Sith Lords (Malak, Bandon, then Bastila, and of course Revan [sometimes]). It seemed to me that, while there are lots of Sith around, there are only ever two actual Dark Lords of the Sith at a time: the Master and the Apprentice. After Darth Bane in the EU, the order was reduced to just those two so that it would survive. So if there are three or more, something's going on.

Can you tell us anything more about the different fighting animations (whether from flourishes, feats, or other)?
-
And if Korriban was on the side of the old Sith Lords, Sion, etc., why should that bbranch of Sith choose to join Revan, rejecting the old Sith, unless Revan overthrew them. They didn't seem to happy to accept Revan when he came back. Maybe it was an alliance of sorts -- they followed Revan because he was strong. Yet that doesn't explain where the other Sith Lords were all this time. Joking Idea: All three were hiding in the mysterious 5th Sith Tomb Hidden Level on Korriban!
-
How much traveling are we looking at in this game? I mean, do you spend lots of time ni one place or is it going back and forth from place to place a lot. In KOTOR, it seemed that if you wanted to do all the side quests, it was often more convenient to just zoom around from planet to planet all the time. And is it linear (i.e. Taris, then Dantooine) or is it more organic (Manaan, Tatooine, Kashyyyk and Korriban all at once) or is it a bit of both?
-
I don't know if anyone's caught this yet, maybe they have, but who is this guy? I've neverseen him before, and I just noticed him when rewatching the trailer. What do you think? other_Sith.bmp

Well, regardless, there is more going on than we know. You don't just go on a day trip and come back as a Sith Lord, so something happened to Revan and Malak. It can't have been just discovering the Star Forge. And the Korriban Sith coming from the Exar Kun connection is an idea. But how did Revan and Malak integrate into that group? We already know they resist the newest, strongest thing (saying I pick Malak, now kill me!) Something's going on!
-
Even Malak admits you were always superior, stronger, whether you're light or dark. Malak was always the weaker, and he dies like he always knew he would.
-
Ever wonder why, if Revan's Sith Empire is only 5 years old or so, is there a Korriban academy with three generations of Sith (Jorak Uln, Uthar Wynn, Yuthura Ban)? They seem pretty well set in their ways for some folks that just got started. What's the deal? Were there other pre-existent Sith that sided with Revan? How did he and Malak become Sith anyway? Maybe we'll find out in KOTOR2...?

Underestimating a Sith
Darth_Gandalf replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yuthura also thought you'd be the type of patsy that'd do anything for her and then let her kill you. "I can betray him without him betraying me." Mentality Then she feels the poison... -
Underestimating a Sith
Darth_Gandalf replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No kidding! They're all retarded! What's the problem. You'd think Lashowe'd no better than to team up on three obvious Jedi. Or Shaardan. Or Mekel. And you'd think Uthar could sense that you're Revan. Yuthura does... and loses anyway. And Darth Bandon gets worked. As do all the apprentices, Sith Governors, Masters, Lords, etc. "What preconceived notions do you have about the Sith?" - Uthar Wynn "I've killed too many Sith to have any preconceptions about them." - Revan Why don't they listen? -
the Queen of Onderon
Darth_Gandalf replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Bastila rather acted liek it hurt her pride as "number one Jedi" to compliment you. She didn't understand how she could have a crush on you. You were Revan, destroyer of worlds, and she thought you were cute! She was totally confused. I want Atris/Onderon Queen/Mira to be more genuine... -
the Queen of Onderon
Darth_Gandalf replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I most certainly agree. Shy would be perfect. If she's a love interest, she's the kind that blushes when complimenting you. She secretly worships the ground you walk on... -
Underestimating a Sith
Darth_Gandalf replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It's pathetic! You shout, "I AM DARTH REVAN!" They say, "That may be true, but Malak overthrew you. That means you have lost your power." WRONG! Revan is still as strong as he was as Malak's master. But they don't consider that you might STILL be the most powerful Sith in the Universe. So they all die. -
the Queen of Onderon
Darth_Gandalf replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I say she should have so sort of tie to Onderon's royal family. She could be the subdued, less arrogant princess type. I mean, she has that look of ornate intensity that befits an influential Force Adept. She need not be part of the order.
