KOTOR Character Cameo
Darth_Gandalf replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I honestly don't mind either way. I'm writing about what I think the devs WOULD do NOT what I think they SHOULD do. I've providing some words in emphasis so that you'll understand. -

I wouldn't really mind. But what face would they choose for Revan? He could have umpteen different ones. So unless they just use the masked Revan, they'd probably let you choose his/her face. -
Where do you pick up new party members?

Yep. But I bet this Mandalore is not as strong as his predecessors. After all, he's hanging out with you instead of ruling the Mandalorian clans. It's probably Canderous, or possibly one of the Mandalorians that you meet (and don't kill) in KOTOR, and he's found Mandalore's helmet and become the new Mandalore. I'll bet he's on Dxun. -
Well, either they haven't announced the character's name yet or she'll be a player-named character. Either way, we'll find out in a few days when the XBox version comes out.

Or maybe Ordo -- Canderous' homeworld. -

Revan would be interesting. They'd need a menu for you to set up your Revan with the right face, character class, etc. -
Well obviously the relationship would be platonic if her master were a female. And perhaps she's attracted to you (male PC) because you ARE a Jedi. She always wanted one for Christmas.

Well Anomen sure did seem like he was gay. But I meant a love interest who was male (at least we hoped he was), and not a love interest for males, since there were already three much more female alternatives. I just hope disciple isn't such a girlie man. -

Well, not if Chris Avellone programmed his wife/girlfriend/significant other into the game as Mira. Maybe he dates a hot redhead who wears belly shirts and she made him promise to put her in the game in exchange for... never mind. -

Gee, thanks. Well, to get back on track, does anyone have any other ideas about when and where the characters will join you? -

Although he's not my preference, I still think Canderous has the best chance of making a comeback. (Especially if he's Mandalore...) -
Well, that might be going just a little bit too far...
-
Amen to that. At least you're not stil wondering if she likes you anymore! If she's willing to kill for you, she must at least be a little bit fond of you...
-
Spicy. Feisty. Yes, very interesting. You don't need to fight because anyone who even looks at you funny gets their eyes clawed out by your vicious Handmaiden. She's very protective. Watch out, Mira and Visas Marr! You better not try anything funny or you'll be in store for a catfight!

I see. Well that's news to me. I stand corrected. Does anybody have a link to that? -
What if Handmaiden isn't a swooning damsel in distress type? What if she's agressive in her violently protective behavior concerning you? That might be intriguing.

Well, it is pretty hard to trump a character as fabulous as Bastila... -

I believe HK-50 and HK-51 are the troublemakers on Peragus. They're out to kill you. Plus, there's a screenshot of a damaged HK-47 lying in a crumpled heap aboard the Ebon Hawk. I believe there was a thread about it on this forum somewhere. -
I guess not. Oh well, love interests make things more interesting anyway.

Party Member Locations and Circumstances for Joining. Known: Kreia: Peragus II - You find her faking dead. Atton Rand: Peragus II - You free him from the Stasis Prison thingie. T3-M4: Peragus II - Repairing the Ebon Hawk. HK-47: Peragus II - Damaged on the Ebon Hawk, must be repaired slowly. Theories: Mira: Telos - She's hunting the unwanted mercenaries there. Handmaiden: Onderon or Dantooine - She falls for you at first sight! Bao-Dur: Telos or Dantooine - He's working at repairing the planet. Mandalore: Rhen Var - He's out to kill stuff. Visas Marr: Dxun or Korriban - When you join the Sith, she agrees to serve you. Wookiee: Who knows? Kashyyyk? Hah. Disciple: Dantooine - Hopefully he's only available for female PCs, as he looks really wimpy and lame and wimpily lame. Reminds me too much of that fairy male love interest in Baldur's Gate II.

Firstly, I was kidding about repopulation. Second -- paraphrased quote: Revan: You mean the Jedi aren't allowed to love? Bastila: Nope. (Unintellgible Force Banter:) blah blah blah. (Force Stuff.) Blah Blah. (Jedi Masters.) Blah. Blah. Revan: Well that sucks. Bastila: Kiss me you fool!

Yeah Luke faced same dilemma and solved it by f.... galaxy's best lass. BTW nice to see your triumphant return Gandalf! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Triumphant return? had I gone anywhere?

KOTOR Character Cameo

Out of all the KOTOR I characters, I think Canderous has the best chance of surviving to become a major KOTOR II character, since you have to get him in your party in KOTOR, and he never dies. I also anticipate a Carth cameo. His homeplanet, Telos, was created just for him. There'd be no point in going to Telos if you couldn't see Carth there, at least in some versions of the game. Finally, Bastila could easily make a comeback as the most popular of all KOTOR characters. If Obsidian wanted to make tons of new friends really fast, that would be the sure fire way to do it. -
So she's the light side apprentice who's both fanatically loyal to and completely infatuated with her master. That would make training interesting, to say the least. But how to handle the dilemma of Jedi not being allowed to love? Well, if you're the last one left, you make the rules. Besides, how else can you repopulate the species?

It has been said of "Handmaiden" that she is fiercly protective of you and would follow you to the ends of the galaxy. Who is she? She sounds like a potential love interest.
