At highway speeds, a particular automobile is capable of an acceleration of about 1.6m/s^2. At this rate, how long does it take to accelerate from 80 km/h to 110 km/h? So like, something along the lines of 110-80= 30km/h, and then do something with the 1.6 m/s? So how long does it take him to accelerate a velocity of positive 30 km/h, if he accelerates 1.6 meters every second? How long does it take him to accelerate a velocity of positive 8.34 m/s, if he accelerates 1.6 meters every second? 8.34/1.6 = 5.215 seconds. Is that right? Or did I go wrong somewhere? Because I'm really having trouble focusing right now.

Yeah, mine was designed to hook up to a turbine to create energy, I don't know how much would come out of it if it worked though.

I drew up a few perpetual motion designs a few years ago. I'll get around to building it eventually.

As I have said to Fionavar in private, I feel Dark Revan is painting this picture that most of us are like this, and that her and a minority of posters are good, and the rest of us are huge jerks to everyone. I feel it's just the opposite, that the majority of the posters here are not unwelcoming. It's just that the few unwelcoming people post often and then the new person gets the idea that we are all like that. I can understand that veiw from a new person, but not from someone who has been here a while. If this topic isn't up for debate, than why even have it open?

So what, she can preech at us, but not vise versa? If I started a seperate thread about how it isn't everyone who is mean and just one or two people? Would that work?
