It worked for me and got the 150 gold. (Yesterday's challenge was easier to follow, every time i defeated a bane, a pop-up screen would track my progress toward the 25 banes i needed to defeat)

I got a couple of the dice sets but when I add the dice to my characters it throws me out of the game (back to the main ipad app screen) -- tried this multiple times in story mode. Was really curious to see the dice in play.

Finally got the update downloaded. I hit restore on the store screen then restarted the ipad and tried again - updated in a few seconds.

Thanks for all the replies and ideas. I have been able to do multiple other updates in the last several days, so I know that isn't the problem. Hadn't heard of the 10 tap thing and got excited that maybe it would help -- but just sat through the whole spin of the circle only to get at the last moment again -- unable to download. Running out of ideas. Definitely don't want to lose all my quest progress so uninstalling isn't an option.

Just to clarify - if i were to uninstall and reinstall as a try for a fix right now -- i would lose all my quest progress? (also would i lose treasure chests, gold, treasure items??) Would really love to get this upgrade done, but don't want to lose all my progress. Wondering if the big patch might include this little patch too so that if we never get this resolved maybe the next update will work.

Tried that too. The weird thing is that I get the same error when I try to update the app on my pc on itunes which makes me think it isnt any particular setting on my ipad.

Thanks for the update. Just spent an hour trying all of those options. It seems to almost finish the update then at the last moment continues to give me the unable to download response. Signed out of game center and everything else is off. Have tried force closing everything -- all to no avail.

Wondering if there is any progress on this issue. I'm afraid to keep trying the download since I noticed I lost progress on my quest group with my multiple attempts. Would love to enter my code for the new ally, but guessing it won't work until I am able to update. Thanks.

I have an ipad air first generation also with ios 9.3.4. Still no-go on getting update to download. Live in Reno, NV.

There really has to be a better way to get an update than to delete the whole game possibly losing progress of characters. For now, since this is such a small update, I will wait to see if the developers come up with a better option. Thanks for all of the responses and ideas so far!

In case this helps, I just tried installing the update on my husband's ipad. He has the free version only, but updated no problem. He is also hooked into gamecenter. So I am guessing it isn't time zone and it isn't game center that is keeping some of us from updating.

I just tried again and failed. It goes through almost the entire update (circle almost full on ipad) then gives me unable to download message. Tried to find a way to turn off game center but there isn't a sign out or turn off option that I could find. I did restart ipad (again) and tried the upload again with same result. I am on Pacific Standard Time. (hope you solve this -- got the new card but don't want to try to enter the code until i manage the update!)

Had a friend stop by the booth for me but the card he got was "Reta Bigbad" with no code. Are they out of the Goblin Golem cards?

Still unable to download it this am.

Anyone else having trouble downloading the latest update? I have been trying on and off for several hours but always have it almost complete the update on my ipad and then pop up with Unable to download app. Even tried to do it from itunes and got same message. Thanks.

In case this is useful, I just managed to unlock this problem. My screen was on the world map and somehow I was able to bring Seoni (who was not being asked to discard a card) to a different (closed location) by clicking on various places on the map itself. When i got her somewhere, the gear option was no longer blocked so i was able to forfeit the game and get out of the screen. In order to get the map in the first place, I had turned off the ipad while the game was on and then re-entered either by continue or quest (both led me to the map asking me to bury a card). Hope this helps.

Yeah!!! Just fooling around with it and managed somehow to get Seoni on the screen instead of Lem at a closed location at which point i could forfeit game (bummer since we were about to kill the villian - LOL) but at least can get back to playing!! (thanks to those who have offered encouragement and advice!)

I had been playing with Seoni and Lem in quest mode heroic level. We are in guard tower with Lem having just fought the skeleton hoard on Seoni's turn (i believe) and lost - had to discard several cards and then asked to bury one. It just wouldn't take me moving a card from the discard to bury -- tried for 10 min then gave up and assumed that would have better chance on closing game and re-opening -- big mistake!!! Now I am looking at the overall map with lots of blue arrows everywhere and it still wants me to choose a weapon or item to bury -- but nothing responds on screen.

Well I guess I will say thank you for the link to the quest lock problem -- but incredibly depressed after reading the posts -- basically no options given and an insurmountable problem. So much for my fresh start with Pathfinder Adventures.

Well have to say this is really a disappointing read since I am in the same position. Basically locked out of the entire quest mode because I can't bury a card! This after I had decided to give the game one more chance today!!! And I am level 16 for my characters and would rather not try something that destroys all that progress (esp when it didn't work for last poster). UGGHHH!!

Ughhh! Was so excited to go in with a positive attitude and give it another try. Decided to play a 2 player quest game to build up a couple of characters and now am completely frozen out of the game -- can't even start a new quest. It wouldn't let me bury a card when one was required and now it is showing me the area map and not my discards and won't let me do anything. Just wants me to bury a card that I can't access. Tried turning off the game completely - both "continue" and "quest mode" get me to same place. Won't let me even tap the gears to quit the game (no other options are available). So now no quest mode for me and even more disappointed and frustrated!!

Thank you all for your responses. Just getting a response helps. I've decided to re-up for another month of daily gold (at least it makes me log in everyday) and play some more of the quest part of the game. Hopefully AD4 will come out before my monthly gold expires!!

I'm posting this because I have had a really positive experience with the pathfinder game for ios. I believe I am in the target demographic (casual gamer that only played it on the ipad - not rebuying the game I already had, can easily afford it and its subsequent adventures). With that said, I immediately bought the whole game shortly after it came out, finished the story mode at legendary with my party of 6, have played some quest and have tried to play for gold for chests. I even bought the daily gold for a month which expires today. I was playing at least 2 or 3 times a day a single adventure (much more when I first started). My problem is that I am getting bored. It is becoming more of a chore to turn on the game to try to earn a bit of gold. There aren't any new items in level 3 and lower that are better than what I have. I am worried that I will start looking online to find something else and just move on and forget about this game. And I am guessing that there are a lot of people in my same position. I write this because I want the game to succeed and I don't really want to leave it for something else. But I do think the developers need to be aware of the attention span of the average ipad gamer. I know they are doing their best to get bug-free material out, but I do wonder how many like me might just wander away before new stuff appears to keep us interested. Just my 2 cents.

Not sure anyone cares (seems to be the only post without a reply), but I played again with Seoni in another scenario and different location and Hermit Crab triggered same error (can't move forward in game without burying a card even though i have beaten first roll each time)
