  1. I ditto everything above and want to add on: Quest mode. I love getting random scenarios with various locations, henchmen, villains and such all mixed up. It adds a lot of replay for those that played the heck out of RoTR card game. It also adds a fun challenge as you can't anticipate what is coming next.
  2. I agree whole heartedly with this statement! One of the things I am enjoying a lot about the digital game is that scenarios can be played much faster. Adding things like this will slow the game down considerably. Have you thought about making culling an option? Say, have three options: traditional (aka box rules), percentage culling, and Organized Play (cull everything). You would still run into the problem of culling some of the cards you like (such as cure) with all but the traditional option but then again you also get to avoid the annoying "do you want to banish this card?" check.
  3. I love the heroic and legendary difficulty settings with the wildcards. The -5 to blessings definitely affects large groups more than small groups. When I see it with a party of 2 or 3, I sigh in relief. Bigger parties I groan. Difficulty check increases for banes are the opposite. Much harder with smaller groups. I like that these wildcards aren't even. Part of the challenge is pulling off a win in a legendary game with difficult wildcards. If you decide to implement an achievement system, you could even give out achievements for some of these hard mixes. Not sure I have seen all the wildcards but here are some suggestions. I went reading through the various scenario rules from Organized Play for ideas. Some of these might be too mean. Please note these are not really original ideas, rather they are borrowed from cards or organized play scenarios. 1. At the start of your turn, recharge a random card from your hand. 2. After you discard cards as xxx damage, bury a card. xxx standing for a random damage type 3. Blessings played on checks against cards that have the xxx trait add d4 instead of the normal die. xxx standing for a random bane trait 4. When a character fails to defeat a bane that has the xxx trait, that character buries a card from her discard pile. xxx standing for a random bane trait 5. When a barrier is undefeated, discard the top card of the blessings deck. 6. All damage dealt by the henchman is xxx damage. xxx standing for a random damage type (this could be a lot of fun paired with number one, evil cackle) 7. When xxx is defeated, shuffle it into a random other open location. xxx standing for a random monster type (wouldn't it be fun to keep shuffling sirens or werewolves? Teehee) 8. During the first exploration of each turn, damage is increased by 1. 9. Once the villain is cornered, summon and build xxx location. Shuffle the villain into this location. xxx standing for a random location.
  4. iPad 4th generation. Build #2 pass and play off, permadeath off Completed the quest mode game I had started with build 1. Started a new quest mode game, legendary difficulty. Chose to take experienced Lini, Valeros, and Lem. Lem starts. Encountered the same black background as Eldicor did. no blessings in the timer. Screenshot below. Exited quest mode and re-entered. Created a group with experienced Lini and Valeros, heroic difficulty. Same issue with black background and no blessings. Restarted again and took new characters.   5. Build #2, iPad 4th generation. Pass and play off, permadeath off, story mode, black fang's dungeon Group: Ezren, Harsk, Seelah, Kyra Ezren's turn. Thanks to Seelah's Crusade power, the last two cards at Throne Room are known. Ezren's uses augery to move the Magic Leather Armor to the top of the deck. Ezren then takes his exploration, encounters and acquires the armor. The game does not prompt Ezren to immediately explore again. Ezren ends his turn like a sad old panda wishing his scheme had not failed.   7. Confirmed. Was able to purchase Burnt Offerings with build #2. New store looks great by the way. Once I save up enough gold I will buy myself adventure deck 2 as well. (Blew through my previous gold buying the characters twice and opening several treasure chests, hehe)

Accidentally buried it trying to discard it. Hit the red x to cancel the action. Brother Zantus failed to return to my hand. Unable to move him out of buried pile manually. Gave up and ended Ezrens turn. Next was Seelahs turn. Same location as Ezren. Brother Zantus was still showing in Seelah's bury pile. Went to cook dinner. Relaunched app. Brother Zantus is no longer in Seelahs bury pile.   9. If so, under iOS, the game will officially run on only the iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro. As such, I'd highly recommend ensuring it will run without issue on 1 GB iPads. I am running on an iPad 4th generation and have not experienced the game crashing at all. It may be a combination of cpu and ram leading to the performance issues. Ebee tried my iPad and remarked that it was smoother and crisper than the tablet she was playing on (before her husband got her a new one). According to wikipedia (man I hate saying those words) the iPad 4th generation has the following specs: The device has an Apple A6X SoC which comprises a 32-bit Apple Swift dual-core CPU running at 1.4 GHz and a quad-core PowerVR SGX554MP4 GPU, 1 GB of RAM.

  11. I am really enjoying quest mode. Sometimes you get very easy setups, sometimes more challenging setups and I really like that. For someone who plays the physical card game multiple times every week, NOT knowing what I am going to get is pretty fun. Due to the nature of random challenge levels, it would be good if there was a way to simply forfeit a game without skipping through every turn. I'm sure this is being actively worked on but I don't really like how quickly I level up in quest mode. A party of four characters can hit level 5 after only one scenario. Regarding the leveling process, I have two suggestions and some visual bugs I found. The first suggestion is to be able to freely switch between the skills, powers, and card feats. Often in the physical game I look at what my powers and skills are and that helps determine what card feat I want, etc. The second suggestion is to have the ability to run different groups through quest mode like you do in story mode. As far as I can tell, I can freely add and remove characters but I would like to be able to run different groups through without worrying about varying levels between the characters. =) Here are screenshots of the display bugs I saw during leveling in quest mode.   12. We're looking into this. I haven't been able to reproduce it internally, and others have had no problems purchasing the adventure decks. Where are you guys accessing the store? Is it the same from all access points? (Main screen, Adventure Screen, Within a game, etc) Edit: Managed to get a repro on it. Thanks for the feedback! Ah perfect glad you were able to reproduce it. I reinstalled last night and am still getting the same error. Was going to try creating a new account and seeing if it was possibly account based.
  13. Soldier adds D4 to a melee check only, not a Strength check - as Merisiel doesn't have Melee, she would roll D4 if using Melee, + another D4 for the soldier, so this would be correct. But you should still be able to switch back to using Strength if you cancel it. As strength is not melee, as MightyJim notes, you correctly had 2d4. To change the check back, you'd need to open the skill check panel (black tab with the check value) and select the check type desired. That panel is on our list of things to make more clear that it exists. Ah my bad regarding the Soldier.   14. Story mode regular difficulty. Just reinstalled the game. iPad 4th generation Pass and play is off, permadeath is off Characters in the group: Merisiel and Kyra Completed Brigandoom! Chose to play The Poisoned Pill and began deciding where to start Kyra and Merisiel. Decided to see if I could play my unlocked characters yet. Pressed button to exit out. Entered back in and pressed menu button and quit the game. Pressed continue and it took me to the location screen but I had two sets of tokens for Kyra and Merisiel and six locations. Went to look at the character sheets.
