  1. I have done the same for the same exact reasons... still encountered a lag on game loading and any time a new map is loaded. For me, at 1st the game performs fine. But then after around 20 hrs of game time, I notice a sudden decrease in loading performance where time a new map is loaded (like changing levels in a dungeon or exiting a city map), times take as long as 40 secs +. It doesn't take too many of these before you lose interest in the game and quit for the night. And I have a reasonably fast gaming system recently issued by SMU Guildhall for game development purposes: Processor: Intel i7-4720HQ @ 2.60 GHz ( 4 Cores, 8 Logical processors ) Memory: 16.0 GB DDR3 Disk C: Samsung SSD PM851 512GB Disk D: 1 TB SSD (i forget the manufacturer) Video 1: IntelĀ® HD Graphics 4600 Video 2: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M (I have PoE configured to use this video card) I cannot imagine a reasonable explanation that should require 40+ seconds to load a new game screen.
  2. I have encountered this same issue on a regular basis with Kana. For me, chant slot 'D' gets bugged and it appears as: A | B | C | D | D | D | D .... I then go in and delete all of D's chant so that it is completely removed from the UI and appears as: A | B | C Then later, after changing out Kana and using another character, if I go back in and try to use Kana again, slot 'D' is corrupted again.
  3. Dear Aarik D, I do not know if I have a saved game file at the exact instance of the previous log submitted, but I should have one that is approximate. Here is a link to my current saved game folder contents: http://1drv.ms/1QLrXDA I will do as you suggested regarding my Steam Game Cache. I did do a complete new download & fresh install of PoE, TWM1 & TWM2 in Feb 2016 (right after TWM2 was released). - DG Just completed the "Validating Steam files" process and was prompted that "All files successfully validated." This is where my PoE Game Cache is located on my system: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity I completely deleted this folder before doing the most recent fresh install (Feb 2016).
  4. Response to "Did you check your stash" - Yes, I checked my stash and every character's inventory. "Tidefall" was gone. Since patch 3.01, the issue still occurs, but it does not appear to delete the weapon now - which is an improvement. See attached screenshot. note - i previously equipped a junk item in Kana's weapon slot 3 to better identify when it happens again in the future. I have also included the most recent "output log" that existed just after adding Kana to my party & saving the attached screenshot. Hopefully there will be something of use to you guys to help track down this issue. Also, this seems to occur more often when you have switched around multiple members of my party, like is common when you have to go through each member looking for an item you previously gave them.... but have forgotten which one it was. output_log.txt
  5. Game Version: PoE v3.00.967 PX1 PX2 -steam Kana seems lose Weapon Slot 3 ( and any weapon equipped in that slot ). I had "Tidefall" equipped in Weapon Slot 3 while clearing the dungeon under Caed Nua. I had an "Arquebus" in Weapon Slot 1. Anyways, I went through several levels of the dungeon (and load screens) using the Arquebus before I needed to equip "Tidefall" again. At that time I discovered "Tidefall" was gone. It was not in any of the 3 earlier autosaves either. If I go back 3 hours of game time, I can find "Tidefall" on a previous character. But I cannot load any saved games with Kana having "Tidefall" equipped. In some cases, Kana does not have a Weapon Slot 3 at all.
  6. This may be related to previous post on 2.0 poor performance related to a Windows resource leak. You can read about Windows resource handles here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms725486%28v=vs.85%29.aspx ... and how to debug them here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dsui_team/archive/2013/04/23/debugging-a-gdi-resource-leak.aspx PillarsOfEternity.exe is consuming all available "User object resources" allowed. On my system, it is configured to 10,000. (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Windows\USERProcessHandleQuote = 0x00002710). There is no reason why any Windows application should ever need 10,000 Windows user objects. To put things in perspective, the next largest user object consumer on my system is 'explore.exe' - and it only needs 527. I believe that this does confirm there is some kind of massive resource leak in 2.0.
  7. There is a noticeable degradation of game performance since the upgrade to 2.0 and installation of the expansion. I have taken the time to collect the following files to assist: 1. DxDiag.txt 2. [very long name].savegame 3. output_log.txt 4. Screenshot.jpg 5. Screenshot of PillarsOfEternity.exe Performance Tab [via Process Explorer - Sysinternals] I am more than happy to provide them, but I am not installing a 3rd party app (i.e. dropbox) just to submit bug report support files. You guys need to figure out a better way for users to submit the bug reporting documentation. From my end, I suspect some kind of resource leak. I'm watching the memory usage steadily grow over time even when the application is paused with no interaction from the user. And yes, I am a software engineer and have been developing software primarily for the Windows platform for 15 years. DxDiag.txt output_log.txt
