level to get good LS robes from Fassa
jedidotflow replied to jedidotflow's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Fassa is the twi'lek in the Nar Shaddaa docks that needs help with the pylons and putting the ships in order -
But Iseo, the problem is that Nihilus IS a corporeal form. He has a body, hence you can kill him with your lightsaber and take his mask afterwards. I don't think there is any evidence in game to suggest that he/she is some sort of "Force parapersona" of the Exile. Also, can you give examples of this, or something similar in other Star Wars stories? After all, if the spirit and the body are separated, the body would die.

The closest "real life" philosopher would be Nietzche. Existentialism is actually very moralistic, at least according to both Sartre and Camus, two of the biggest existentialist philosophers. (Sartre actually coined the term.) I personally believe that Kreia's philosophy is actually Nietzsche, at least in a very basic and condensed form, applied to Star Wars and the Force. A word of warning though, Nietzsche is a very problematic philisopher. A lot of his ideas are not well explained, neither by him nor scholars. I suggest that you do a Wikipedia search or a web search. As far as books go, try to get translations of Nietzsche's works (if you don't know german like me) by Walter Kauffman, one of the top Nietzsche and existentialism scholars. Have fun!

Hey! Does anyone know what level should I be to get the really good LS robes from Fassa? I would like to get Master Thon's robes since it gives both force focus and force jump (according to the guide). Thanks!

I would like to know how the two-hlaves theory fits into Star Wars. This isn't some DnD fantasy story, where the rules are really wacky (in a good way). You guys are forgetting this is the Star Wars Universe. A person spliting in two is impossible (so far) in Star Wars. Why? It's based on our real universe with the major difference of the Force. Nihilus was just another Jedi in Malachor V that got all screwed up by the attack (whether he originally was light or dark is not answered). Same goes for Sion. Maybe Nihil was close to the Exile (physically) ehn he cut himself from the force and that affected the former to sucha degree that it turned him into the Galactus of force users.

Hey people! I don't know if this has ever happened to you, but in Dant, after speaking with Zherron, his seconr-in-command (Berun?) gives you a quest to investigate Zherron. You can then tell him that he's being investigated nad he gives you an errand: to tell the mercenary guy (the one with the ponytail that's hanging out with the mandalorians) to "Go ahead" (or soething similar). If you do this, when the battle with Azkul comes he turns to your side! I don't know about the rest of you, but I find that kinda cool. I guess the dark side option is to tell on Zherron with the Administrator. You go and get the atmospheric sensors with Bao and find the hidden equipment. Don't give the sensors to the old man looking for them, give them to Berun. He'll then tell administrator Adare about them and cause Zherron to get demoted.

Your Revan and Exile - Gender/Looks etc
jedidotflow replied to Swinneh's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Revan Lightside M Scout/Consular (on my last playthrough. Found out it's much better than scout/sentinel) Dueling = I feel kinda pathetic going after Malak with two blades/double-bladed. Very Short brown hair with minor scar on his eye and soul patch. For some reason, I think that it's the in-game model that most resembles an 'official Revan" if it existed. When you go Dark with him he gets a goatee and sideburns... Also, Revan turned to the Dark Side. If he wanted to defeat the True Sith is because he didn't want a challenge to his power. He doesn't want to destroy the Republic, he wants to conquer it, just like Palpatine. Kreia is wrong, she's trying to find justification in Revan's fall because she feels cheated by the Force. She is pathetic. Exile Lightside M Sentinel/Watchman (Although any choice in this game leaves you uber-powered, I don't like the feats associated to Jedi Master. Also, I hate the title "Weapon Master." I'm a Jedi, not a ninja or martial artist. Dueling = I'm like classic SW. "Jesus" face. Finally, a beard! He also looks like Obi-Wan... they should make an Ep3 Obi-Wan beard face... -
Well, in this game, you can be whatever you want. It really doesn't make a difference. On the other hand, I find that a Jedi "Weapon Master" is ridiculous. If it had another name, then I would choose it. Therefore, nowadays I am a sentinel/watchman (love the skills) that doesn't listen to Kreia.

Question: they don't count as armor, right? What I mean is that if Mira and Atton become jedi, can they still wear them and cast force powers? I happen to like the way they both look, especially Mira... (Was that last comment really necessary?)

In What aspect is Kotor I better than II?
jedidotflow replied to extracheesy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Also, darker doesn't mean more "adult" or "complex." For instance, Lord of the Rings saga is pretty starightforward and light but quite deep and adult if you take it as a mythology rather than just fantasy. At the same time, I do enjoy darker views upon the Star Wars universe: just as long as they're coherent and COMPLETE. Anyways, I love both games but the 1st a whole lot more. Doesn't mean I won't play the second one a couple of times though... -
In What aspect is Kotor I better than II?
jedidotflow replied to extracheesy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
i enjoyed KOTOR 1 a lot more because it's finished. I must clarify that I am a Star Wars fan, but find the prequels as a horrible incident that I couldn't have avoided. With that said, KOTOR 1 feels more like "classic Star Wars" to me. I enjoyed it's simplicity and the way it immerses you into a brand new era. Granted, I wish the design aspect, at least technologically speaking, would look a bit more archaic and the lightsaber handles should've looked like the ones from the "Tales of the Jedi" comic series that predate the games. But that's just a minor nuissance. The robes in KOTOR 2 looked cool and I enjoyed them the first time I played but now I feel as if they look WAY too much like the prequel robes. It makes the SW galaxy and the Jedi Order look somewhat stagnant... nowadays I enjoy the "robes" (more like tunics) from the first game because they feel more martial: after all the Jedi are at war. As far as the "darker philosophy" goes, KOTOR 2 falls into the same category as many RPGs, mainly Final Fantasy 8: fancy, overexplained dialogues that pretend to be "deep." Don't get me wrong, I love to hate Kreia. She's a great character. Sion and Nihilus could've been great but completely fall short (although persuading sion to lose is cool). The whole gray morality is great, except that it's obviously evil. This is a bad reading of Nietzche, who's philosophy is highly flawed himself. It's interesting that they would do such a thing, and I hope they continue, but the game comes off as "too dark" and sometimes "unfriendly." Empire Strikes Back, the darkest Star Wars movie, begins in a white planet. Cloud City is a bright place, serving as a contrast to the thematic darkness revealed throughout the movie. KOTOR 2 is just way too dark. Even the Jedi Masters come off as dark. I know some people enjoyed this a lot, but it feels unbalanced to me. Since this post is already too long, sorry about that, I won't event start on the fact that the game is incomplete AND to get the full story it must be played at least several times. I am sorry but I am a working university student and I don't have the time for multiple playthroughts just for the full experience that one playthrough should afford. -
nar shaddaa glitch! (with the jedi master)
jedidotflow replied to jedidotflow's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I know I can talk to him again, but I didn't know I could convinve him not to fight... so, he goes back to Dantooine? Also, any idea why this happened? -
well, Visas has some sort of "force sex" or something with me near the end of the game... that was random... anyways, can I go for Mira? I like hes attitude and the fact that SHE TALKS FAST!!
-
okay, here's the deal: I did all quests on Nar Shaddaa on lightside escept saving Geriel (I left him and Saquesh alive so I can get to lvl 50 and levelled up from 17 to 20 using tyhe glitch... I already beat the game twice so I thouht this would be fun...) I helped the refugees by killing the Serroco and persuading the exchange for more space. The only dark side thing that I did was getting rid of the pazaak dude letting him get beat up. Anyways, after the Jekk Jekk Tar w/ Mira, when the Jedi Master shows up he says I've been evil and he's going to punish me or whatever. Then, when facing Visquis, he asks why I hekped the excahnge... I don't get it!!?? I am full lightside and already did Dantooine on lightside as well!! Will I have to fight Zez-Kai Ell? or can I convinvce him I am not evil at all??? HELP!!
