  1. Any idea if this will be fixed? I can run any PC game on ultra, seems weird that one spell in this game makes it almost unplayable.
  2. I have a GTX 1080 and i7 7700k. My game runs fine but the second I cast mirror image my FPS drops to like 15-20. Anyone have a similar issue?
  3. So I haven't messed with creating my own AI stuff yet, but as of now I have all my party members said to the default "aggressive" AI for their class. But in battle they all just stand there unless I order them to attack someone. They can be surrounded by enemies taking damage and they won't react unless I tell them to. How can I get it so they will at least auto attack?
  4. It's when I cast mirror image, my FPS suddenly drops to 15 from 60.
  5. My frames drop to like 15fps in battle. I have a top of the line computer. Has there been any information about optimization or what is causing this?
  6. I started with hard and then switched to PoTD. The game was very hard for me early but by act 3 everything was pretty easy again. Although the upscaled expansion pack was quite challenging again. I feel as though chapter 2 of Baldurs Gate 2 is the perfect way in which an open rpg can be structured. There were so many side quests available and you needed to accumulate X amount of gold doing whatever you want. Some were just too challenging right off the bat so you kind of naturally got forced to back away from those and find ones that were doable until you had enough gear or items to do the others. I don't really know what I hope to see out of PoE 2, I just hope they are able to solve the difficulty problem that most crpg's run in to. I also have faith that they will. This seems to be a very skilled development team from what I have gathered.
  7. I am going to assume that this has been talked about somewhere, but I wanted to express some thoughts. I understand that there is going to be a few different options of level scaling, which is great IMO. My biggest hope for PoE 2 is that a true sense of challenge and difficulty stays present throughout the entire game. I feel as though cRPGs in general have a difficult time of achieving this for whatever reason. Often times the games can start out brutal but once you get geared up and figure out the game a bit, it becomes too easy. This was an issue for me in pillars, DoS1 and 2, arcanum, honestly most all cRPGs I've played. Ultimately I lose interest in games if they become too easy. My hope is that through the game, there can be a few spots that the devs really focus on making very challenging. Not every single area, but a decent amount of areas that players are likely going to be encountering that are very challenging. The biggest motivator for me in these games are the very hard battles that wreck me. These inspire me to get new gear and strategies and come back to win. Anyway, like I said, I am sure this has been discussed, but I just wanted to express my stance. Difficulty balance for me is one of, if not the, most important mechanic for PoE2.
  8. Thanks for your post Dewos, I am planning on starting a new run somewhat soon and have some questions. You said start WM1 at around level 10ish. Do you then mean follow up and complete WM2 right after and then do act 3? I want to do all the expansion quests but not be incredibly over powered for act3. Any suggestions?
  9. What about ecto psychic echo? I had to stop using it because it made the game on PoTD way too easy. I instantly melted every single enemy. I now dont use it anymore because it breaks the game.
  10. Has it been confirmed that they will be making PoE 2? I think this game is amazing, honestly have been loving it so much. I think PoE 2 will be even better, so I am truly hoping it has been confirmed that they will be making it. That is all.
  11. I'm playing potd too and if I just let the ai fight I will get wiped pretty quickly. Im always using spells and abilities and some areas have been very challenging for me (lighthouse, forge nights). I guess Im just having a very different experience then you, my ai will lose almost all fights I think.
  12. Are you guys sure you mean to use the word trivial? I would never use the word trivial to describe this game... Maybe using this ability makes the game too easy, but not trivial. I think this game is amazing personally.
  13. Hey guys, Was curious to hear your thoughts on echtopsychic echo? I think its way OP tbh. I'm playing on PoTD, and the game has been very challenging for me for the most part. I love the challenge, but I recently discovered this skill and it does literally hundreds of damage very quickly. All I do is summon a monster behind enemy lines and use this ability on him and literally annihilate everything in its path in a matter of seconds. It seems a little too strong to me. I compare it with the other 3rd level power "soul ignite" or whatever its called. This skill does 100 or so damage to one target over like 15 seconds? Whereas ectopsychic echo does 5x that damage to EVERY target in its path. Curious to hear everyones thoughts
  14. Hey guys, So I was using a fine arbalest on my cipher, which has a +4 to accuracy. With it equipped, my accuracy is 42. I purchased the Hold-Wall unique arbalest which doesn't include the +4 to accuracy, but when I equip it my accuracy is still 42, which doesn't make sense to me. Once I enchant it to make it "fine", it adds the damage increase, but my accuracy stays at 42. Does anyone know why it is doing this? Shouldn't my accuracy go up to 46? Thank you!
  15. I just started a game on POTD and absolutely love the challenge. Im eager to jump into xp at level 5-7 but if I understand correctly I will be over leveled for the rest of the game when Im done with expansion? If this is true, I really wish the devs would have taken the time to auto scale the whole game from that point on. Seems silly to only auto scale expansion, making you way over powered for the rest of the game. I really hope they fix this!
  16. Hey guys, So if I load my game (currently start of Act 2 I believe), and I go through the expansion quests and level up etc, when I return back to the main story line will the enemies be scaled to my level? I don't want to get a bunch of xp points from expansion and come back to the regular story line and be over powered for everything. If someone can explain how the XP works that would be great! Also, I havent played the game in months, I was wondering if there were any changes I should know about? I started the game on hard mode and the first dungeon was very challenging, but since then it got relatively easy. I am wondering what I can expect from here on out challenge wise. Thank you!
