Yeah tested a few enemies.
Wolf has 15 pe and is down 5 in deflection but its accuracy used to be 42 its now 47.

If i was unclear:
Before 2.0 adra dragon had 93 in accuracy
does it now get +12 from the fact it has 22 perception?
And a bonus question does it now have 12 less in deflection?

So do the accuracy of enemies (including the adra dragon) get increased by their perception score now?
So did the adras base accuracy of 93 on hard difficulty become 105? And for its breath attack etc 117?

CC is overpowered and removing some accuracy from it will be a must when perception adds accuracy or it will go from being borderline broken to absolutely insanely bat sh-t crazy broken.
And to topic creator playing mage as cc possible instead of dps?
Not only possible but much better.
Cc, cc, dmg spell, cc, dmg spell, cc etc is much better than dps.
I always open up with my spellcasters with cc. Be warned it will make the game very easy

When you fast travel it would be nice to get attacked at times.

Most spells have +10 modifiers to compensate for 10 lower base accuracy of caster classes, but there are some inconsistencies. Tbh it would be better and cleaner if they split weapon and magic accuracy as stats.
As for changes to minimise the damage - I have a feeling that Perception change would be the least of possible concerns when the expansion comes out. So just buff all enemies across the board and put adragans and fampyrs everywhere

I agree with you Mad. But since PE accuracy is coming something needs to be done with cc or it will go from being overpowered to really broken.

If all spells get +11 accuracy (white that wends+orlan) then the developers have no clue about balance.
However accuracy isnt to high for melee so they can do the PE buff if they also remove 10 accuracy from spells
That would be absolutely crazy. The overwhelmingly vast majority of spellcasters are not going to be Orlans from The White That Wends. The game needs to get less focused on min-maxing, not more. Even an Orlan spellcaster from The White That Wends (this is the part where we lament the lack of white fur for Orlans and no portraits with white fur) that maxes out Perception to get that +11 will be passing on other things, such as Might, which would've increased the damage of the spells used, Intellect or Resolve (assuming Intellect is no longer a consolidated caster stat), Dexterity (which would be useful if Robes counter as Clothing, instead of an arbitrary form of armour, or if the spellcaster used Clothing), or even Constitution (assuming it's buffed).
+10 Accuracy is good, yes, but you don't have infinite points. What're you going to dump?

Cc is the most overpowered thing in the game.
It does not need a buff. If pe adds to cc then it needs to have something to balance it out.
Otherwise they buff the most overpowered thing there is, which makes no sense. That would be crazy

Concecrated ground or moonwell helps against the insect plague damage over time. Ogres have bad refrexes so aoe disables that target that are golden as they are all clumped up. Things like slicken, chill fog, priest seals and so on really make the ogres do a lot less dmg. You need durable frontline to hold them still initially and after that they are pretty easy to kill with aoe diasables followed by aoe nukes. Using summons for extra frontline also helps.

But is changes to basic attributes this late really good for a game. Im not so sure.
Imagine if bg ee.had strength changed for example, not sure it would be good in the long run.
At first is fun and all but after one wonders what is next? Am i playing beta? An mmo?

If not hot from druid and cc from mage will fix it.
1st level cold aoe spell, hot druid and insects will really hurt them

To make the fight easy you can use a bottle neck.

DEX already does that, as its Attack Speed bonus also applies to recovery. It would be kinda redundant :\
I agree CON needs help, though. As it is, the penalty for dumping it is negligible and so are the benefits of pumping it.
Dex increases speed but more (faster) armor recovery would be really nice for constitution.

I always play TOI and tbh and when you enter the final area in such a game you prepare to end the story for that character.
So im fine with starting a new character for the expansion
