  1. Rebelstar: Tactical Command (from the original X-Com guys) and Tactics Ogre: Knights of Lodis are must-buys for the GBA. There is no doubt whatsoever if you dig turn-based, tactical games. Buy them now.

    Besides those 2, there's:

    Advance Wars

    Advance Wars 2

    Riviera

    Metroid Fusion

the Fire Emblem games (already mentioned)

and Mother 3 (although it's not in English yet)

  2. I have a game called "Girlfriend/Not A Girlfriend" on my cell phone. In this game, I call this particular NPC and she yells at me and tells me not to bother her. She then calls me back 2 minutes later and tells me she misses me and wants me to come over. Later, she complains about how stupid I am and then talks about getting married. It's a fun yet confusing game. Probably my favorite.

  3. I dig the last bit.

How can I let the introvert in my life know that I support him and respect his choice? First, recognize that it's not a choice. It's not a lifestyle. It's an orientation.

Second, when you see an introvert lost in thought, don't say "What's the matter?" or "Are you all right?"

Third, don't say anything else, either.

  4. EDIT: Wait, there's no demo yet. Nor of the previous game, either. Aww.

Turn-based squad-level tactical combat. Is it similar to Silent Storm, then (but with wargame-level realism)?

I wouldn't have used the SS comparison, but I guess it's sort of fair. Obviously, the level of presentation and flexibility are far below that of SS.

Here's the demo for the first game. Keep in mind it's a few years old so I don't know how similar the newest game will be.

    101 Airborne demo

  5. The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, The Minutemen.

Hellride is playing this weekend. It's Mike Watt (Minutemen, firehose), Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction, Porno For Pyros), and Peter DiStefano (Porno For Pyros) doing nothing but Stooges covers. The venue this time is a tacky strip joint. Gotta love it.
