  1. I'm of the mind that neither such will make nor break the game, I'm just inspired by the fact that they bothered to reply. That they at least acknowledge the patch forthcoming and comment to standing by the current quality of the game is more than silence.
  2. I got this after three letters to execs @ LA. Granted, standard pr fare, but I'm touched they took the time to actually reply.l
  3. Gee... you'd think they'd want a refined, polished product. No wait, they already have our money, who needs a loyal customer base these days? I'm just dork enough to have crafted two letters, three emails and three phone calls (all very professional) just to get a good deal of runaround regarding this very question. Eventually I got the hint LA didn't want to be bothered. edit: er... recant part of that . I actually received a reply regarding patching the sound & movies along with missing content and a couple of bugs. http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?sh...ic=35098&st=120
  4. Personally I didn't care for either Mission or Zaalbar so that they aren't mentioned anywhere was no great loss to me. To be quite honest, I was surprised that even 1/3rd (Canderous, T3M4, HK-47) of the original cast had any heavy involvement, although the fact that they hacked out most of the plot involving HK-47 was disappointing. Then there was the assumption of admiral... being admiral it wouldn't make much sense that he would be very heavily involved as a party member, to me anyway. LSM I got the Bastila cameo just before the M5 embarkment so technically that's more than half making somewhat of an appearance... by industry standards, that's pretty average and IMHO, more than inclusive of supportive characters from the original. Not sure what should have been memorable mind you, but they were included. Granted, they could have squeezed everyone else in somewhere, but I'm of the mind that having to rely heavily on previous roles from past games makes for a weak game unless the star role is reoccuring. That is, it doesn't make much sense to me to assume that an entirely new character would have the exact same acquaintances as a previous one, nor the intimate knowledge the original would have had. I suppose the question is, would anything have been gleened from having x character from the original kotor? Being that the ones who do make it into the sequel don't comment much about such nor its outcomes, they'd really only be there as mind candy imho.
  5. Yea... not in my game. Damn Subjectivity! Seriously though, its so open to interpretation as to the list of possibles depending on the "measuring stick" you use: Canonical, Vrookism, Bindoist...
  6. Mmmm... fat jeedai *drool* Actually... Exile isn't a Jedi, he/she(/it, depending on your flavor or edits) is neither Sith nor Jedi being that he/she/it pulls their force powers from those around them. At least, that was my LSM interpretation for the premise/council feared/will sapping force bond thingy
  7. Sort of off topic but certainly a hidden jedi... what's with the Unique_ContestWinner skin? I don't recall a contest for KotOR I or II... and search was a plethora of stuff I didn't feel like delving through atm.
  8. Doesn't Zek say something to the order of him not being a jedi, not any longer... which would sort of validate what Jit posted?
  9. Personally, it isn't a matter of hating the game but rather the annoyance with all the loopholes through cut content. Personally, if they'd have just cleaned up after they started hacking stuff it wouldn't have mattered one way or another and I'm betting there wouldn't be nearly as many people interested in the cut content. Not to rant but as it stands, your party suddenly disappears during the final sequence with exception to a small bit by the droid Bao-Dur sent in his steed (I never did unlock any conversation that explained why he chose to, but I infer it was the Telos restoration) and a minor confrontational (LS) for Mira. There's also the plethora of dialogue regarding the HK-50s and your loveable assassin droids desire to solve said problematic instancing. Then there's the storyline break during the cutscene with G0T0 and Bao-Dur's droid in that G0T0 controls the situation but LS you end up setting off the MSG after all instead of the whole sequence where HK-47 comes along with the reprogrammed HK-50s and puts and end to G0T0. The fact that the rest of my jedi wannabe posse just up and failed to make an appearance in the finale seems rather odd... again, I just infered they all died or were knocked unconcious on landing, if you want to call it that. No, its not a hate for TSL... just a loathing for poorly finalized products. After all, I shilled out a fair amount of money for what I thought was a highly acclaimed sequel. However, what I got was rough product that had been rushed through finalization to meet a bottom line and a deadline. Again, I'd have been satisfied with the current content the game offers if they'd have just cut out all the loose ends and loopholes. I won't go into the argument on how annoying I found that they actually included the cut content during install even though it isn't actually a part of tha game. I guess, more than anything, its a desire that publishers should be held accountable for the quality of games they make especiallly considering the amount of money they request for said product... as a realist, I understand the fruitlessness of such a desire however
  10. Yea, actually, the only reason I even fired up the save game editor originally was because I wanted some headgear that didn't look uber stupid... alas, no such luck. The circlet of saresh had to be the worse looking imho... I think I ended up with target assessors as they seemed less intrusive on the face. Even the sith mask I thought looked pretty gimp.
  11. Personally I enjoyed the game play although I didn't find it too much of a stretch from the original. Sure, there were additional feats, force powers, the graphics I though were somewhat improved and the robes didn't look like wrapped skirts. Actually, the only problem I had was the immersion factor. Every time I felt like I was getting into the game there seemed to be something missing, which seems to be a commonality. The ending just fell flat and there were a lot of unanswered questions. Especially considering the whole posse of saber toting lightsiders I had with me going into the final act, darksiders the second time around, the events surrounding both female and male PCs in regards to romantic interests, etc. Though with a save game editor and jacking everyone's influence to max I was able to pick up more of the swiss-holed storyline, giving me some measure of satisfaction, at least, in regards to HK, G0T0 and canderous (I'm always amazed at how many ppl didn't recognize him from just by the voice... not to mention that he talks about Clan Ordo). Personally, I'm anxiously awaiting the fruition of Team Gizka and the restoration project's efforts as I think that will finally tie the game into something more along the lines of what was intended as a final product than the plasma-torched job that became what was released. Not to say that it wasn't a game on par with the plethora of other games out at this time, it just didn't come through as well as it could have, imho. Although, the release of badly done/incomplete/rushed games is something I think the industry should be held accountable for... but hey, they've got an "RPG of the year" title they can tout now so who am I to expect such?
  12. I currently have this exact same problem, ended up having to warp to 605DAN. From there, it looks like it picks up normally... so far
