  1. That is exacly what Im criticising, the restriction only works in one way - you cannot take from the stash, but you can put things in the stash?!? This is a bug, if the stash isnt available - its not available - there is no magical one-way thingie.
  2. I partially agree, so far I haven't encountered any major bugs which would made this game unplayable (however Im not far in progress yet). The biggest thing I had encountered when the extracted game was first unplayable and always crashing, Obsidian sadly did the same mistake here they did in the past - while they'd have in need for more beta testers and Q/A they seem to completly ignore this. However passing the game around for stupid reviewers (which dont care a thing) hasnt helped the game either, the couple of reviews I've partially seen (while trying to avoid spoilers) werent really informative. All they didnt forget to mention was that this somehow was pretty old school like Baldurs Gate (O'rly?) but they didnt give any real informative things, for example in the german reviews they didnt ever mention the problematic localization - though this should have been fixed already before putting an v1.0 version out there. Im really baffled why the developer team didnt do more Q/A or gave the game to people *who really do care* instead of insiting on crap reviews that will only increase the hype for a lil' bit of more sells maybe? (Really, is that such an huge effect on marketing?).
  3. Okay I agree with this, you seem to be very certain that this is a feature. Where did the developers ever said that dropping items to the ground is useless and shall not included? I seem to have missed this conversation... anyways I guess people will most likley add this as an mod then...
  4. Both is definitly a bug not a feature, its unlogical to put things in the stash (while the stash is somewhere located in the town...). I'd like to read something official from the developers what the thoughts are behind this idea.... To be not able to drop items to a ground is also a big bug because then you're forced to simply take the things with you, which is also illogical - it should be rather possible to sacrifice items you cannot take with you.
  5. You must install the DLC package seperatly, it could also be possible that the preorder asset was extracted in the wrong directory.
  6. Hello I think I've found a logic error in the game, Im playing on hard with expert mode. I can put items in the stash, which should not be possible. Stash should not be accessable outside town.. I also didnt figure out how to drop items on the ground?!
  7. You dont want to be the cursor locked, since it will make it harder to easily switch to other windows. Why dont you just scrolling with the keyboard? Works perfect.
  8. Hello Sking, yes of course. I know that this also has happend to my friend. Im using a 2nd level Fighter, but it doesnt seem to be related to the character - my friend is a wizard (completly different char). He didnt even notice, he only wondered why the prices are so high in Gilded Vale... Prior traveling to Gilded Vale I did not rescue the cook from the north area yet, so I had the chance to check the Inn before I earned reputation and the prices were a lot cheaper. So basically there is not much to report yet, I simply began with the game doing the prolog (which you must do anyways) and then heading south to Gilded Vale. I worked my way thru the area to the inn, so I guess I did talk with a couple of persons prior entering the Inn of course.   9. Hello Im still at the beginning of the game, however I think the reputation level is bugged (possibly also elsewhere?). In Gilded Vale you can rescue the cook of the local Inn, however if you do so and earn reputation - all prices increase dramaticly. Most likley it should be otherwise, prices should decrease... Im not sure yet, if this issue is also existing in other places of the game...
  10. I'd say this 'And what about that 'Syntax error: "(" unexpected'' is just an error in the script, in certain case it seems to look for two ELF's however since the game only is 64bit compiled (there is no 32bit ELF). It will not find this... topic should be marked as [resolved].
  11. Hello As title says, I want to not explicitly being the sound muted (or the game paused) when my game window looses focus. I'm having an twinview (dual-monitor) setup, switching between windows is absolutly normal for me... I found this: http://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Application-runInBackground.html However this is related to the scripting API of unity, is there a setting which I can apply to global.prefs etc.? Someone knows?
  12. I think I've fixed my issue, so far I managed to get to the character creation screen now. The issue was probably a corrupted game directory (happend while extracting?) - Im not sure...
  13. Hello I tried to play the game yesterday, I've had my tarball of GoG - verified checksums, both md5/sha1 correct. While I was buffled why I cant gunzip it on my GNU/Linux (format/date error!?) it worked well on another BSD system... Anyways I managed to extract the tarball and was able to run the game, however the game crashes immediadly after I see "Obsidian presents..." when I want to run a New game - whether I use english or german ( localization ) is of no relevance here. I tried both to start the game via the (GoG?) supplied start.sh, as well as the 64bit ELF in the game root directory - both have the same effect. I'll attach the strace log, Im not sure if the game itself also dumps a useful log somewhere - there is no kind of output/fail safe. In the strace log, relatively at the end you can see a std::length_error (line 4316) - as with the attitude the game crashes this looks indeed like an uncaught C++ exception. Im willing to debug the game further if a developer can assist? What am I supposed to do?
