Only on normal, not potd. Can somebody explain me, how you play solo? Because it seems, very much encounters in the first locations are not doable solo. Do you have to skip it and come back later? I don't skill stealth, only athletics and mechanic. Stealth, Lore and Survival on 2. I'm not sure, if i should buy this blunting belt and the outworn buckler or the summoner horn. Atm i'm using this Flail "Gaun's Share" and this Door-Shield. Should i enchant the flail with fire? It's the only thing i can do atm.

Last time i played: Paladin (rauatai), Fighter (lady of pain), druid (hungry wolf), wizard (zeblastian hurtstacker), priest (eothas) and ranger. Now i wanna play: Chanter (Chillfog), druid (hungry wolf), wizard (zeblastian hurstacker) priest (fire sub off dps), rogue (mad hornet). For my last slot i wanna play Barbarian or Monk, but i'm not sure what is better or easier to play / to survivie in the fighting. Can somebody tell me?

What i tried to say was, i skilled blast, penetrating blast and so on, but never used it a single time. Only used spells and equiped a very good pistol on my mage, later a crossbow. I don't say the guide authors are wrong, but for me the skill build was not working out for my playstyle. Maybe a melee wizard works, but i don't like the idea behind it. They should cast spells or use a range weapon and stay out of the fight.

Paladin: Tank (Rauatai) Fighter 2H: DPS (Lady of Pain) Priest: (Support Priest) Wizard: Crowd Control and DPS (Zeblastian Hurstacker) Guides are here: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/85492-the-obsidian-boards-build-list-last-modified-16-may-16/ For the 2 last remaining slots it`s up to you. Ranger with Pet are pretty good (Stormcaller bow), Chanter is surely pretty funny. Druids have really good spells. Can't say anything to the other classes.

What i can say as a newbie, i played on normal. I rarely used the shape shift of my druid, cuz he dies really fast, if you don't watch out and suck at micromanagement like i do. The only 2 spells i frequently used where level 5 "Plague of Insects" and "Relentless Storm". Pretty good spells. The Wizard in my opinion is ok, time to time. He has a lot of crowd control spells, that can really help. But you should avoid all spells, where you have to go IN the fight (AoE Spell around your hero) or have a conewise damage in front of you, cuz you will hurt your own team members if you are not in the right position, and maybe get sorrounded by your enemies. The red circle means, your party members get hurt 2, the yellow circle is ok to use. The Priest on the other hand, is pretty good. If you give your Paladin Boots of Speed or he drinks a Potion of Speed, he can lure the enemies away, and your priest buffs the rest of the party in the meanwhile (most spells have a duration of 30 seconds). So i would definitly pick up a Paladin for heavy tanking, a Fighter (best 2H - Unique Wpn Tidefall for Life Leech) for damage dealing, a Wizard for crowd control / debuff and damage and a Priest for buffing your stats. Other members are up to you, but more melee heroes means, they standing in the way of each other, especially in narrow passages. So it's good to have some range heroes (Wizard and Priest should attack with range weapons anyway). You should not listen to the guides from Wizard, Druid and Priest when they say, pick "Weapon Focus" (gives accuary) for melee weapon xyz. You should pick a range weapon (bow "hunting or war", crossbow, blunderbuss, arbalest, arquebus, pistol). The Pistol has a the shortest range, if i'm not mistaken. The best bow is of course the soulbound hunting bow "stormcaller". It's not really hard to get and to upgrade, only the max level, cuz you have to kill the sky dragon to do so. And only ranger, chiper and chanter can bind it. Remember: GODLIKE Race, they can not wear helmets. I picked up 3 (moon, fire and nature) and i only realised that half way through the game lol. Fire or Nature Godlike are pretty good for the Paladin, cuz it gives him stat bonus or damage red if his Hit Points fall under 50%, but i won't use it for any other class. I never used the healing spell of the moon godlike. If you play both DLC's, you really should pick all 6 slots up, cuz you could easly reach level 17 or maybe 18, but the level cap is sadly 16. Ok thanks Other questions 1. What exactly does this -30% or -50% etc on armor mean? Does my ranger shoot slower? 2. When i don't add the ingame (pallegrina, èder etc.) companions in my present group, will they wait in my stronghold? 3. If yes, do they gain exp and does it split with my own party exp? 4. Can somebody explain me the adventures in the stronghold? 5. I want to do the "The Forgotten" quest, but the quest giver does not offer it. What can i do? 6. Is there a merchant list, where i can buy crafting materials?

1. Specific enchants, that become available to you after unlocking the White Forge from the WM1. They can be applied to: weapons, shields and armor. Durgan-reinforced armor: [+15% incoming Crits converted to Hits] + [- 15% Armor Speed Penalty] Durgan-reinforced shield: [10% of Ranged attack reflected back at attacker] + [+15% of incoming Hits converted to Grazes] + [-15% single-weapon Speed penalty] Durgan-reinforced weapon: [+15% Attack Speed] + [+0.3 to Crit Damage Multiplier] + [+20% of Hits converted to Crits] The good thing is that they do not count towards the enchants limit. So a durgan-refined item is strictly better than non-refined one. 2. Slicken and Chill Fog do friendly fire. But there is a thing you should know about non-FoE AoEs. They do affect your teammates only in the radius of their base AoE. The extra range you get from INT, is safe. Deleterious Alacrity of Motion is a self cast. Ye, actually i meant "Combusting Wounds". Is the yellow circle the INT bonus and the smaller, red circle the normal one?

Yes - but you can do all the "starting quest" of every faction. This will unlock the shop of the faction (important! - some of the best items in the game you can buy there) and also open up the possibility to do the "real" faction quest. If you take one of those quests you can't do the other "real" faction quests. Those quests lead to the rewards I posted above (mainly a free talent for the main char and a unique weapon). Ye i did the 2 optional quests for the Doemenels and can trade with this girl. But if i join another faction, can i still trade with the other merchants?

Thanks Got another 3 questsions: 1. Is there any particular order, i should upgrade the fortess? 2. Faith and Conviction. In the beginning (except for raedrics hold) i do the quest alone with my ranger. Do i have the paladin with me for the granted reputation bonus? 3. As a Shielbearer of St. Elga should i side with Raedric or with Kolsc? Because i tried the Raedric fight one time in the past and could not beat him, kolsc was pretty easy on the other hand.

One thing to remember is that base stats are not the be all end all they are in other games. Most of these builds can also be used with the NPCs who have fairly different stats, so if swapping 3 points of dex to 3 points of con on the lady of pain makes you sleep better at night do it. Also you can change your stats using the retrain option in game if something isn't working for you. Also tankiness is really a combination of three factors: defenses (deflection, reflex, will, fortitude), damage reduction and endurance. The lady of pain relies on having descent defenses, high DR armor (doesn't need to be sanguine plate) and constant healing from Tidefall which makes it's slightly smaller endurance pool a non-issue. I understand. Tidefall that great sword can be found in the searing falls cave or? Do i have to battle any enemies to get it? Can i get it b4 defiance bay?
