  1. Yes, most of us feel cheated by the ending but don't judge the entire game on it. After all, if it wasn't such a good game you wouldn't feel so bad about the end. As for the DS ending....well it is slightly different but equally as bad I'm afraid.
  2. The answer to this is so so simple people!! Whenever there are gaping plot holes you can always sum it up with the following........ The Magic Pixies did it! Case closed.
  3. To get an idea of how the list was compiled you only really need to look at their entry for the number 1 spot. Resident Evil 4???? Played it, finished it within three days, disappointed. Yes the game looks gorgeous and there were moments of true genius in it but on the whole I found it to be unfulfilling. To me it seems that the list was compiled to promote Resi 4, a newlyish released title with the rest being cobbled together from a mix of popular and overated ones. With the exception of Chrono Trigger. Agreed with the points on Tie Fighter though. Loved that game. Still play it to this day.
  4. Carth annoyed me. Too goody two shoes as someone has already said. Bastilla was far too snooty for my liking. I do agree that they are however the best combination for the scenes aboard Leviathan. As for the rest of the time, I tended to opt for Canderous and HK, mainly because all but one of my games have been DS. Plus HK had the funniest dialogue in the game.
  5. I remember a few years ago someone asking if Wedge Antilles and Captain Antilles of the Tantive IV were related. Apparently the answer is no, but at least they shared a surname! What is people's obsession for finding connections between characters. The same thing occurs with Resident Evil. Still, some of the theories can be amusing.
  6. Well there have been more satisfying things that I have experienced set in the SW universe. I was more satisfied with the ending of KOTOR 1 than 2 which just left me wanting more closure. Still it was more satisfying than The Phantom Menace and The Clone Wars put together! Not holding out much hope for Revenge of the Sith!
  7. I for one enjoyed playing the game immensley. There were characters I liked and characters I hated as with all RPG's. My only gripe here was that there was little closure with some of them. Visias Marr was an exception and I enjoyed the scene where the two of you link. This was a well thought out aspect that was an excellent substitue for a simple kiss or a gratuitous sex scene. Far more emotional and symbollic of love. Like many others my enjoyment dropped during the final stages. These have already been covered many times by other users though so I wont go into the abrupt and tacked on ending. I shall now wait for The Restoration Project to complete their stellar work before playing the game again.
  8. Agreed. A novelisation of either KOTOR would disappoint many people. You can't write about a character that people have created themselves. Set in the general era is fine, even if there are some small cameos from game characters, events which take place alongside game events but have no effect on them (eg maybe being involved somewhere in Onderon's civil war) or just simply visiting planets and places where Revan/Exile have been, or are going to be. As for other books. I quite enjoyed the Heir series simply because I loved the character of Thrawn but I have really just stuck to the X-Wing series, hence my female Exile's name being Carrie Horn.
  9. Another mixture for me. Juhani - Fell to the Dark Side but redeemed (sort of) Zaalbar - Exceptionally loyal Canderous - Strong sense of honour and appreciates strength in another GOTO - Because I'm not what I at first appear to be Hanharr - Often fuelled by rage and anger Physically probably GOTO as well, large and round
