  1. The puritans are now going after Obsidian https://twitter.com/icequeenerika/status/582161950202863616
  2. AI is certainly a cool feature, but I find it's generally done....poorly. The vast majority of the time, unless it's a faceroll encounter, I tend to just take control of them myself or do away with it altogether because there will be some AI command I've thrown in and they waste a potion or ability.
  3. Video game journalism is becoming more and more irrelevant, even sites like Kotaku are trying to remain relevant by removing review scores. The streamer/YouTuber generation are far far more influential these days, which is why so much PR has revolved around that with GOG getting people like TotalBiscuit to stream it.
  4. I don't mind the tombstones, but I'm not a fan of all these touching souls. Some of the stories in them are great, but really quite generic because they're so damn common - I tend to just not read them, which is a shame because I'm sure some are fantastic and I really liked the one with the lesbians. I mean in lore, I assume you'd notice someone's soul if they'd done something truly heroic, awful etc etc but these are just people with really non-descript backgrounds or stories presented as heroic? I dunno. I'd point to Lost Odyssey and the memory stories they presented - if they were gonna do something like this. Seeing 3-4 people standing around a table, all with unrelated and different short stories which you read in quick succession is kinda....not exactly encouraging me to read them. I think they'd have been cooler if you saw past ghosts or locations which your soul had encountered (I'm only 10-12 hours in, so my lore is sketchy) and got stories from your souls past.
  5. Right now I can see on steam: This game will unlock in approximately 1 day and 2 hours Same, so it's a set time. Cheers.
  6. I'm sure this has been addressed, but when does it unlock? A set time or local time?
  7. Basically when this stuff first came across my twitters fairly early, I immediately threw my money at it. I've gotten the e-mails and the only one I clicked was to confirm my order a few months (a year?) ago. Now I see the release date appear on my timeline from Mr Avellone and boom, I'm all in. But I basically have no clue what the game is about other than its a classic CRPG that looks stunning. I have no idea about anything else, mod support, storyline etc etc. I'll be goign in completely blind, anyone else the same?
  8. I didn't know there would be a thread here, I'm just here for PoE. I'm 100% behind Gamergate, but I think it's done. But it leaves a lasting legacy, a positive one imo.
