  1. after a 1 min googling: secure.gameswarehouse.com.au - au$39 + international airmail shipping (money orders accepted) ps. don't ask me what is the exchange rate - i'm not australian. pps. I wonder if they would make a (male hen)ney-localized version. It would be a riot for sure, I'm buying it.... ppps. ****e, obsidian's lang filter HATES brits )
  2. Interesting question. I don't think I saw something in the sw rulebook on this matter. In KotOR I, you've never changed you class, actually, your 'alignment' notwithstanding. It should be in the DS rulebook, I presume. I would guess, this depends on wheter developers consider Sith and Jedi to be different classes. If so, than you'll need to multiclass into a Sith. More likely though the PC would flip-flop between 'Sith' and 'Jedi' based on the current alignment.
  3. Screw that constant fighting. How about a given Force Camouflage (+5 to current stealth level), Awareness +5, Demolition & Security +5, Persuade +5, a free Stun and Affect Mind. Add an ability to use Affect Mind on enemies ('reds') to make them neutrals ('blues') and getting xp for this (preferrably more xp than a murder brings in). How about dropping whole attackable/non-attackable statuses and having aggressive/non-agressive statuses, with DS points for initiating an attack on an non-aggressive target (and scripts to help story-bearing chars to escape destruction)? How about Drain/Fear/Plague/Kill giving a DS point every time they are used? (nb: I know that Lightning is supposed to do that too, it doesn't seem to make much sense to me in a hack-and-slash game)
  4. SF per se does not give 'extra strength'. SF feeds on the Force through Force-sensitive individuals. As some kind of a parasite, it stimulates any Force user to become more sensitive and 'productive'. Thus, SF would be able, most probably, to make a run-of-the-mill Jedi a better Force user as well. But since SF is an instrument of aggression and unlikely to be sought after by the peace-loving Force adepts, DS customers were, naturally, in majority.
  5. Hopefully, it's not the '$||1+ we won't make it! Let's prioritize and scale down!' kind of time.
  6. True. And it felt awkward listening to that conversation. Nevertheless, our stately anti-hero in a red uniform is not to blame. This brings up a question to devs, though. Do many of scripted encounters depend on stats/skills/abilities/skills of characters, otherwise unattainable/unusable/unapplicable/etc?
  7. That's right. I don't see how Malak could have said anything other than this pertaining to the Calo Nord's presumed encounter with a Jedi (i.e. Bastila). By 'you' do you mean me? It was not my line. It's Malak's. It would be completely wrong to judge it by the information available to you, me, or even to Malak's later knowledge, imo. 'Pretty guaranteed' is nonsense. '9 of 10' is a bogus fact. Let's move on and conclude that you've meant 'most of the playthroughs Carth will be present at your encounters with Calo Nord'. It's, most probably, unknown, if I have understood you correctly. Ok, let's say PC had been spotted with a guy by some informant or Calo himself. How would Calo Nord know the guy is Carth Onasi? He doesn't wear a badge, no 'WANTED' posters on the wall. He should be just a guy, associated with Bastila through a third party (PC). This is way off-topic. If you'd like, we can continue that in a new thread. Or better yet, you can look up info in bioware's forum archive - there were a lot of discussions about story inconsistencies.
  8. Pretty guaranteed? That's not good enough. Actually, that's pretty ugly, as far as arguments can be. edit: PC can be alone at both Lower Cantina/ Lower apts, and the PC+Canderous is the minimum party at the Davik's estate. edit: anyhow, your reasoning does not explain the identification piece.
  9. [offtopic] I'll check, if you want me to, but as I remember it was M: 'Who assisted her' S:'a decorated war hero' M:'Interesting. How did you obtain this info?' and so on and so forth. As for Bastila - she was M's original target on Taris, was she not? So Malak's lines are good and sound, imo. If you'd ask how did Carth get identified at all, that'd be teh meestary.I say, give BW a slap when they deserve it, give them the benefit of the doubt otherwise. [/offtopic]
  10. As of that moment Malak knows nothing of the Davik Kang's final encounter so his question is quite understandable. It seems that Calo Nord uses the opportunity to unduly stress his steadfastness.
  11. Questions: 1. Are LS protection powers going to stay nerfed? (Force Aura-Force Armor)? 20 sec is quite useless as it is now. 2. Will it be possible to use Affect/Dominate in/before a battle to calm an enemy (preferably getting xp for this as well)? 3. Will Force Camouflage be a common power and/or better yet, be free/given to sentinels? 4. Will lightsaber throwing remain the FP hog as it is now? Thanks.
  12. Where does extra 6 points come from? I can count up to 520. (sf robes + saresh's + ls mastery + mvalor + start at Wis18/Cha16, level ups Wis+4/Cha+1). I don't think 18/18 start is possible, and if it is, i believe it would give 536FP.
  13. White-haired chick certainly looks rather off-balance to me. Now a question to you as the MA-literate - how's this scenario: (M - masked guy, W - white-haired chick, C-column): 1. M_C ___W (walks briskly with her lightsaber sheathed/off and on her left side) 2. __C M_W (turns lightsaber on and flicks it with her elbow and wrist as a distraction while she tries to evade him by rolling away from the column toward spectators) Thus, she's not attacking and M is able to read and deflect the blow very easily. M (it seems) cannot attack her right away so she might have enough time to roll away and cover her head after that.
  14. Sith as they are 'explained' by the game text and 'prominent examples' are chaotic evil. A power structure based on this would be rather unstable. But, on the other hand, the general line of events and behavior of your regular Sith trooper shows that the system is more of lawful evil type (which corresponds to my understanding of the 'true' Sith society as the heavily rank-based one). So if you skip that dumbed-down/teenager/maniac interpretation of a Sith as brutality show-offs/dominance junkies, the recruiting for lower rank will be quite easy. The same one that had worked for Wehrmacht/Red Army. Improve current status, become respected by your peers, be feared by your enemies, get privileges @home, get loot from annexed properties, etc.
  15. I didn't know Cathar had canine pets.
