Also as an FYI, if you're having problems early on with undead, get a custom Priest (or find Durance).... they have an AoE 1/encounter that heals friends and damages "vessels" which is pretty nice to have.

There is also a Friendly AoE that only targets allies. Hazard AoE...only impacts traps?

Ha. Really you can put just about anything into anything. Although high INT doesn't really help fighters as I haven't seen too many AoEs coming off of them, but if you dump points into mechanics then it can help with your traps...

Don't start over (unless you really want too...) This exact situation is why you can hire a custom made NPC at ANY inn (and other places too). Also that temple basement is very tough unless you have the priest with you. Lots of high deflection, high DR shadows dealing freezing damage. Even on "Normal" I struggled with only 3 member party, on Expert I struggled with 4 people in the party (none of them priests though...)
