Sorry, but BG2 had a "set hard cap". Also, it's been stated numerous times by both the devs and the many many previews that you aren't Revan. It might be a good idea to read up on that.

Yes, and none of them are competing for KoTOR's sales. I'm sorry, but Half Life 2 doesn't appeal to the same fan base that KoTOR does.

I think I like the idea of being the apprentice more than the master, but if we can become a master later on at some point all the better.

A big reason to play a game for it's story over reading a book is the interactivity that the game can provide. Saying "if you want story just read a book!!1" really pisses me off.

I would think you would need to get an apprentice to become a Jedi Master. That was one of the prerequisites in D20.
