Yes, there was at least one concept artist who was also involved in the creation of in-game textures and models. Generally speaking, while the concept artist is virtually unlimited in the visual qualities he or she can achieve in a static image, game asset creation is subject to limitations such as the game engine being used, a short development schedule, and in the case of a licensed property, strict aesthetic guidelines. -

I'll jump in and add that Dennis, an extremely talented model and texture artist, is also a highly regarded voice-over artist. Few people know this!

I really doubt that there's anyone doing concepting with traditional mediums anymore. I'm constantly impressed by the "painterly" qualities artists are achieving with just their Wacom tablet and some painting software. And think of all the paper being saved! Brian Menze does awesome work!

A game development company is probably not going to care what schooling you have, they just want to see good work that reflects the current technology and visual quality level. Since your art style is cartoony, I recommend looking closely at cartoony games and the companies that make them

I think it's great when people ask for help Obviously, delivery and tact are essential in getting positive results, and slinging insults doesn't help much either.
