I guess if they make Resolve and Perception more useful, lower the overall attibute points available - especially in the beginning - AND make it so that the feats/talents (yet to be released) get some interaction (the one way or the other) with attributes, the system will work in fact and in practice. I see nothing wrong - under these conditions - with a "dumb wizard" or a "strength rogue" or a "intelligent cleric".

To expect the beta to be anything other than a buggy mess is delusional. I agree, though I can see from where the outrage across the forums is coming from: Most Betas in the last years, especially in the MMO market, haven`t been actually betas but pure marketing tools. The games were "finished" to a 99,99% degree, and that is something most players simply got used to. Playing real betas like this one is uncommon for today`s standards. Just think of EA. They release "finished" games in BETA-status and just skipp the entire semi-public Q&A in fear of bad press.

From what I can read and see, the Beta is indeed full of bugs, BUT, on the other hand, I must show Obisidian some respect: I am pretty sure they knew what a buggy mess the beta is, and releasing it the way they did actually deserves some respect. And, at least for me, it shows they do believe in their product; they are certain they will be able to hammer things out till December. Just think of Divinity: OS and its BETA-status...it was a disaster, yet the game was pretty sweet on release.

This is not the question. If i pledge money to a game, I can not expect anything in return. I make an investment. I don`t have any sort of entitled claim against, in this case, Obsidian Entertainment. If I make a pre-order, I DO have a claim: If they don`t ship the game, I can sue them for breach of contract. So, what is. They call it: "Pledge", but, at the same time, promise me a reward. This is best of borth worlds, for them. I am in the EU, and maybe it is an EU-thing, but this sounds as some sort of "Oh sorry, we failed to deliever the game, but since you´ve PLEDGED and not PRE-ordered the game, we don`t owe you any money". I don´t want to sound rude or greedy or something, and I don`t really think that Obsidian would screw us, but as EU-citizen I am highly scepitical about that sorts of mixed advertisements.

Sorry for the stupid question, Is it correct that the pledge for 35 Dollars, ending today, is actually not a pledge, but a pre-order, meaning that I have an entitled claim to get a Copy of the Game? Thx in advance.
