  1. Bioware developed those games, and EA gave Bioware plenty of creative control. EA is not responsible for the direction Bioware has taken it's games. If they are responsible for anything; it's that they didn't reign in the terrible direction Bioware took their games. Dragon age 1 was fine. Mass Effect 1&2 were decent. Dragon Age 2 was horrible however. The only rpg worse than that in the past 20 years would be Fable 3. God, Fable 3 was a piece of garbage. I cared more about the characters in Sengoku Rance than I ever did in Dragon Age 2...
  2. The thing is that EA was still the publisher of those games, BioWare answers to EA when it comes to alot of things. I do think that people that blame BioWares failures completley on EA don't really know what they are talking about, Bioware should also be held accountable but that doesn't mean EA is completley innocent either. That post was badly worded on my part. What I ment is that it isn't something to be upset about, the poll shouldn't really be taken seriously either but at the same time it shouldn't be completley disregarded either. That people vote EA "The wrost company in america" must mean that people are upset with them right? So then you have to ask yourself why that is. And you still haven't told me how gamers are.
  3. No I don't, tell me how gamers are. Please don't bring this up any more, it's deeply embarrassing to be associated with the type of people who think EA with their day 1 DLC and Origin is worse than the sort of crap BoA and the other perennial contenders pulled and continue to pull. Makes gamers look like a bunch of entitled massively out of perspective zealots, and is just plain cringe inducing. oh, and don't argue with Volo, there's no pastime less constructive. Everyone already know that BoA sucks, it doesn't make sense for them to "win" that crap every year. It's an online poll anyway so it doesn't matter.
  4. I bet EA loves people like you that just bends over and take it from behind. Make sure to clean up the corporate **** after you're done. I agree with "don't like it don't buy it", I don't agree with it being nothing wrong with taking things out of your game and selling it as day 1 DLC, that's unethical business like it or not. A company being voted "the worst company in america" gives you a reason to support them? hahahaha!
  5. I didn't even understand half of what you wrote because of that horrible english. "Crap games", that's entirely subjective except if the game is completley broken. Several of EAs latest releases have been broken one way or the other. And don't forget their business practices, day 1 DLC Prothean for Mass Effect 3 comes to mind. There's a reason to why they got voted "the worst company in america".
  6. But seriously.. I pre-ordered both. This is basically Biowares last chance to prove they are more then a SJW simulation creator (with heavily reused areas and multi-particle colored endings) I wouldn't get your hopes up. Everything they've said so far indicates they're going even further down that road. Your companions are like a checklist to appeal to all the right SJW factions. FYI, the Iron Bull isn't bisexual, he's pansexual. Get the difference #ridethebull(yes it's real)
  7. If Dragon Age 2 and Witcher 2 are any indication.. It won't be a competition so much as a fat kid rolling on the ground and a majestic Geralt riding a white stallion across the finish line.. But seriously.. I pre-ordered both. This is basically Biowares last chance to prove they are more then a SJW simulation creator (with heavily reused areas and multi-particle colored endings) EDIT FYI - I live with my girlfriend, work full time (more then 40 hours a week) as a software developer and go to the gym 3 days a week.. I promise you I will have more then enough time to play both these games. Yeah you will, but you will lose both your job and girlfriend in the process since you will have locked yourself inside the basement.
  8. A reasonable and acceptable answer -- Thank you. Dragon Age have one thing that no other fantasy game I can think of have and that's the fade, I thought it was a pretty cool concept in Dragon Age Origins. Still, the rest of the setting is pretty damn generic. You could argue that the Witcher is also generic but I don't really agree, in the witcher they try to make a more grounded fantasy world which not alot of games have done before.
  9. We both know it's because of the "romance" angle -- What if there hypothetically weren't any romances? If there weren't any romances I wouldn't care. The game would probably be better since they could focus their writing on stuff that actually matter and not pointless harem romances that are even worse than some of the worst romance anime out there. You wouldn't care that there were characters you might not find a frictional attractions towards? Specify. All games won't adhere to every individual's personal appeal -- My comment is merely question as to why attractive characters are a big factor for you. Eye candy So that's a priority for you when getting into a game? Wonder how that gaming library of yours looks like. Regardless, I got my answer. My favourite game of all time is Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, that game have some hot ladies but they are all dead in the clinical sense. The main reason to why I like that game is the writing, characters and atmosphere. Another favourite of mine is Pathologic. So, hypothetically speaking -- If Dragon Age had the writing or characters covered at the very least -- Then it would still be acceptable for you then? Otherwise, your statement seems a bit redundant. Good writing isn't enough, the setting of Dragon Age is too generic for me to be interested. The reason to why I like the games I mentioned before is that they have an original setting, something that haven't really been done before in video games.

  13. Yeah, I understand that. But Ashley actually seens interested in Shepard from the start. I mean, Kaidan, WTF? The problem I have with bissexual characters is that they are not written this way. They are written as gay or straight, but when it comes to romance your character can be of either sex, and that is totally weird. I mean, if the character shows interest in both from the start, ok. But it's actually "Hey, i'm totally straight/gay. Unless you, the protagonist of the same/opposite sex as me wish to romance me. In that case, I'm bissexual. The one thing I hate with the Mass Effect romances is that most of them are impossible to get if you play renegade, the only way to romance people(except Jack and Miranda if I remember correctly) is to act nice to them and kiss their asses. They should have done the opposite, only **** Shepard get to romance people. Would have been more realistic. Also I hate paragon since it's basicly Luke Skywalker super hero that manages to save everyone all the time while at the same time helping everyone you see with menial tasks.
  14. Funny thing is, good chance he's serious. Why wouldn't I be? Because that's a ridiculously ridiculous reason, only slightly better than "can I kill all the women/gay party members?". I think it's a pretty valid reason not to buy a game. No attractive characters? Then I won't buy your game.
  15. LOL EPIC POST LOL She and the scribe lady are the top ladies in the game so far, for me. Manjaw Schwarzenegger and Scribe "Benign Melanoma" Lady isn't what I would call "hot". They won't get my money.
  16. Funny thing is, good chance he's serious. Why wouldn't I be?
  17. All the women that have been announced as romances in Dragon Age: Inquisition look ugly so I won't play the game. Also I don't like it when you create your own character and the character have a voice, kind of ruins the whole point of creating your own character. I cringe everytime I see that demo and the 2 meter tall muscular female qunari speak like a tiny little elf.
  18. Nah, DA2 is still fun. You just mustn't be too critical around certain features, like the reused dungeons. But DA2 does have nice Romance options which always helps Nice romance?!? You mean slutty pirate with boobs that defy gravity, a virgin elf girl next door, a troubled bisexual mage that will be angry with you if you refuse his advances, and don't forget the mysterious elven warrior with a painful and troubled past, includes white anime hair and cool tatoos. Please, the characters are all fantasy tropes and stereotypes taken to the extreme. And the scenes aren't any good either, just cut to black. DA2 is fun if you take it for what it is: A BIg Joke, because that's exactly what it is, if you ignore the plot, laugh at the extreme characters and get through the sluggish combat system you might get SOME enjoyment from it, but I don't understand why you would do something like that to yourself unless you are a masochist. But damn you can't deny the fact that Isabella is smoking hot, remember those pirate boots She would have been hot if it wasn't for the terrible artstyle and graphics engine, her face looks weird and not like that of a human, that goes for several characters, some mods took care of that so: yes, I agree that she's hot WITH mods.
  19. Meh, if I want rape in my games I'll just play Sengoku Rance, there's nothing more rewarding in a game than to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and defile their princess after the battle is done!
  20. Got your rear kicked by those reinforcements? It happens, bro. No need to nerdrage. Nah, didn't have any problem with the reinforcements, except that it was kind of silly when they popped in from thin air. My problem with it was they tried to create a combination of the baldur's gate, Dragon Age Origins like combat and that of an action rpg, and sadly it didn't really work out.

Think like a general, fight like a spartan!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMcVZQI6ybw
  22. I'm interested in PoE but I do agree with the above guy and his issues with fantasy. I prefer scifi to fantasy because it's easier to make an unique scifi setting. Blade Runner and Star Wars are both scifi yet still completley different. Most fantasy worlds always look the same, ancient and arrogant elves, drunk dwarves, chubby halflings and evil goblins. Some writers have managed to take fantasy in a new direction, Game of Thrones is probably the most famous example. In Game of Thrones they have pretty much thrown away the elves, dwarves and goblins altogether. Another example of a more original fantasy setting is the witcher where they have kept the elves and dwarves. In the witcher however they are opressed minorities instead of having ancient and mighty kingdoms.
  23. So because I don't have the same opinion as you I'm a CD Projekt employee. Nice way to dismiss my post, quite dissrespectful too. If you are joking and you're not serious I'm sorry for the agressive reply but I've had several people on other forums accusing people of being employees or marketers for a specific company just because they happen to prefer a game over another, and those guys have been serious.
