My guess is the masked figure is either a Sith assassin or lord, and the woman has no real relationship to it. I'm guessing she's one of the main NPCs in the game (ex: Bastila). So... my vote would be 'not'.

Yep, and having them be completely different would be nice, as well. I understand that the Light/Dark powers were so close in the original due to balance, but come on... give us some variety!

I haven't heard anything relating to that, I would think they'd have mentioned it by now, if they were planning it. The way it's looking right now, a bunch of dialog options gives you the opportunity to choose the previous game's ending/storyline.
