First off, I’d like to start by saying I love the game. I think it looks stunning, and I genuinely enjoy it. That said, there are some unwanted bugs (pun intended—I’ll take any opportunity to make that joke). I had pretty high expectations, and to be honest, I was hoping for a little more. Now, I get that it's early access, so it's understandable we didn't get all the content yet. But coming from Grounded 1, which had custom game modes, it's frustrating to see settings that we could potentially alter—yet they've been locked. Personally, I'd love to change the behavior of the backpack system when dying, but right now, that’s not possible. This wasn’t a huge issue until one of the current bugs caused my backpack to glitch way out of bounds on the map after dying… that’s happened three times already, and it’s incredibly annoying. I also expected there to be some kind of upscaling available. I’m not running cutting-edge hardware, but it’s far from outdated. Based on my experience, I don’t think the current recommended and minimum specs are accurate for comfortably playing the game. I'm well within the recommended specs, yet I frequently encounter low FPS. It's not a total dealbreaker, but it definitely didn’t meet my expectations. Then there’s the crashing—within the first hour, the game crashed on me twice. Again, I know it’s early access and quirks are expected. But that brings me to the in-game settings and button mapping… Every single time I reload a save file, I have to re-adjust my settings. I don’t want dash mapped to Ctrl—I want it on Alt. I want crouch mapped to Ctrl like almost every other game. But I have to change that every time, which wouldn’t be such a big deal if the game didn’t keep crashing. Also, I can’t change the resolution to windowed mode. The moment I exit the options menu, the game automatically forces the resolution back to full screen. Like I said, I love the game and I’m having fun overall. There are a few other “bugs” I won’t even mention, since those feel expected in early access and I can live with them, even if they’re a little annoying. But coming from Grounded 1—which had everything—and into Grounded 2, where early access was promised to be just as big, I feel like I had higher expectations. Nonetheless, I love the game… but please, these issues are making it really difficult to keep playing.

sorry double post: a very good front liner who will be very self-sustainable despite the self damage- as long as he kills - is a Berserker/Beckoner or Troubadour. Max INT + INT items and a pet that heals +20 on kill. Amra as main weapon and 25+ MIG (rel. easy with the help of Frenzy and some +2 MIG gloves). High CON is also good. The key is to use Carnage and Amra's Riven Gore to accidentially kill your own skeletons while you attack the actual enemy with Bleeding Cuts. First Bloodlust will help you to speed up after any kill, you will get healed after any kill (including skeletons) which is a lot of healing. Then after getting Blood Thirst there will be no recovery after kills, the build turns into a bleeding cuts tornado. The only thing is: this is not a tank per se. If there's nothing to kill (quickly) he can do down fast. And party members with low health (under 50) can get instantly destroyed from Riven Gore while the Berserker is still confused. So better stay out of Carnage range. First you use Ancient Brittle Bones (Beckoner is the better pick), later Many Lives Pass By (Troubadour is better). You can use that also as Berserker/Fighter with Mob Stance on top of all the killing which makes it even more crazy (and sturdier) - if you have a Chanter in the party who can provide skeletons for you. But then you really really shouldn't go near this guy as party member.

Since you'd like a shield: I played a pretty straightforward main tank with an offensive twist for my party - made from a human Streetfighter/Devoted, themed as Gladiator. He used the Gladiator's Sword (obviously) and Bronlar's Phalanx (also kind of mandatory for the theme imo). Since swashbuckler Edér (no subclasses) always worked perfectly well for my parties in terms of tankyness, I thought that using a Streetfighter/Devoted shouldn't impact the sturdyness at all but improve the dmg output a lot. And it did. As main tank he will get flanked almost always, so no need for distracted or other "artifical" flanking shenanigans - just tank stuff and unlock "Heating Up" in the process, increasing recovery speed a lot and adding more sneak attack damage. Also Gladiator's Sword has incresed PEN (if enchanted fully) and the Devoted adds +2 PEN on top. That's +3 PEN with the sword for all pierce and slash damage which is great. Monastic Unarmed Training for enemies vulnerable to crush dmg. I'd use Hold the Line and Mob Stance for even more speed, Abraham for the speed and heal on kill. Large shield modal makes sure I don't receive damage much from spells while you can still move around with Escape. DEX could be a bit lower, PER a bit higher (to counter the -8 ACC from large shields). Armored Grace and Riposte obviously... I think I used Reckless Brigandine iirc for the added engagement, +AR when at low health and the added speed via engagement. I liked it very much because it performed a lot better than I expected. I guess it would work well with any good one-handed weapon, but Riposte and Mob Stance might favor battle axes with bleeding cuts. Against lower level kith the Magistrate's Cudgel should be absolutely devastating (crit => instakill => Cleave => maybe another crit and so on), but maybe then Mace + Devoted isn't the best pick (crush only). Stalker's Patience should also be great bc. Riposte and Cleave can trigger the recovery skip. It was a "hands off" character though - I didn't need to manage him a ton (like you would need to manage a Monk or so). I didn't even bother with special attacks like Crippling Strikes or so because he was a meat grinder just with auto-attacks. Used the Guile and Discipline for other stuff. Some players like that for their MC, others want "more to do" for their Watcher.

I find the threat of raids incoming is far too long, I had to wait 2 in-game days for the last raid only for the game to crash as the raid started.

I lost my shared save because my kid accidentally joined the game I was already playing on PC from my account on xbox while I was using the account on PC. It kicked me from the game and I haven't been able to load it since because it says I have lost the original save. He can still load it from his account on the xbox (we have a shared save) but because I own the shared game, I can't edit the save file or shared files from his account. Is there any way to recover the active save file?

Hello, after the update today, there's a bug where the sizzing effect doesn't disappear or decrease even after leaving the zone of action of the embers or the bombardier bug or other sources
-
I too am having the same issue. My wife is on the Steam edition too so we are both on the same platform. I also downloaded the xbox version just to test, and sure enough it can get on multiplayer just fine, of course can't link up because she's on steam. Also founders pack, still not showing up in my steam edition.

My buggy under the map
Tylerrr replied to Fuzikaaaa's topic in Grounded 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
My buggy (Susant III) disappears quite often, after fighting and me healing it, it just disappears, not able to be called, just gone, my friend’s has died and been knocked out plenty of times but it always stayed. I pet Susant III a lot, and she still just seems to want to leave -
From the leaks I’ve seen, It shows that there will be a ladybug buggy, and a mosquito buggy, although these could be scrapped at any moment so don’t quote me on this lol
-
Please change this. When candy arrows are shot they revert back to normal arrows. It’s a major downside to playing a ranger which already seems like the weakest all around archetype.

It may be quite a small nitpick but for me it is the main thing that has been annoying me in my play through so far is when you take or put stuff into storage you have to hold down a button to take the whole stack, I play on controller and in the first game it was X to take or deposit one or Y to deposit the stack. Now you have to hold down X to deposit and it becomes really annoying when you try to sort out your storage, especially with my game freezing for a second every time I deposit something. I also annoys me how if you hold down X for deposit stack on a single item, it makes you have to press it instead which is tedious when you are just emptying your whole inventory as you have to switch between holding and pressing. I think the easiest way to fix this minor issue would be to just make it like grounded one where you could press a different button for deposit one or depositing the whole stack. but this game is still great so far and I am looking forward to future updates!

GroundedGyal started following Unic Structures should be free and Buglist and some Ideas

Quick selection should be visible again as a bar. Quick selection sets would also be nice again. Graphic crack near ice cream truck (very, very large crack) You should be able to build on existing structures like the picnic table. More realistic! When the host invites a friend in the start menu and then exits the menu with B, you dismount the buggy at the same time. Quick storage again with a separate key instead of long-pressing X, for example, short press y or short press lb or rb. Dispose of excess grass slabs and stems collectively instead of having to long-press B to send each one to the trash. Translation error: Riding a buggy. In German, it's labeled "Wanddeko" (Wall decoration). X: Wanddeko (Wall decoration) instead of X: Reiten (Riding) or X: Aufsitzen (Mounting) Thank you for your work. I love Grounded and hope that part 2 will be even better than the first. (The first was a nearly perfect game for me, and it's my absolute favorite so far.)

I'm a huge fan of Grounded. What I especially appreciated was being able to have the complete gaming experience without having to invest any additional money (don't get me wrong, cosmetics for weapons and clothing are fine, and you have to buy them. That's not the problem). Unfortunately, due to the future unique building structures that will be included in the Founder's Pack, I fear that you'll want to take a different path with Grounded 2 and become like all the other studios who just want to milk their players. Therefore, I urge you not to choose that path. Let everyone have the same gaming experience. For me, and I think for many others, that includes, above all, base building and all its existing and future building structures. BASE BUILDING AND THEREFORE ALL BUILDING STRUCTURES ARE PART OF THE GAME AND THEREFORE INCLUDED IN THE BASE PRICE. THEY ARE PART OF THE GAME EXPERIENCE AND NOT COSMETICS!!! P.S.: Normally, I'd build a nice base while my teammates are offline. However, the fact that the Founders Pack includes unique building structures takes away any motivation for base building, and thus the main reason I enjoy playing and spend time waiting for new content. Furthermore, it's the main reason I'm NOT buying the Founders Pack, as I can't support it in this way. If it's just about skins and emotes, I'll gladly give you the extra money.

Curtis Barbuto started following Add a Centipede Boss
-
Centipedes look like horrifying little critters, and seem like they'd be a neat addition. They've got venomous bites and eat smaller insects (perhaps even you if you're unlucky enough).
-
Need to allow building structures to phase through the environment like it could in grounded 1. Otherwise it makes building extremely difficult frustrating and janky. Cuz there is always some slight issue with the surface your building on or some piece of dirt in your way you can’t remove which never lets your blueprint turn blue so you can set it down. Just a new suggestion.

As title I'm keep receiving this error. it's pretty annoying cause i usually host the game (both is regular and shared world) and not only if kicks me out of the game, to the dashboard, but also disconnect me from xbl for 3-5 seconds so I also lost party chat connection. it only occur playing this game. if needed i made some screeshots

I’ve been having trouble with combat because I’ve noticed bugs not having much attack animations if any at all and it’s making perfect blocking impossible. It’s like they barely even move when they actually attack me. Not sure if it’s a bug or just needs anQOL improvement to it. Also when I’m moving things from my inventory to a chest or something the game starts to lag out super hard where it starts getting difficult to even transfer stuff to my chests. And FPS drops as I’m sure you’ve already been made aware of. This is some feed back from my experience so far. Also where are the zip lines

For example ... - While running, button "B" sends rogues into a slide attack - While running, button "B" sends mages into an evasive (forward) teleport - While running, button "B" sends rangers into an evasive backflip - While running, button "B" sends warriors into an AOE spin attack Feel free to add ideas of your own, under this thread
