Hello,

 

I'm playing PoE 2 but since I can't avance the main history I decide to try the new mechanics around ship managment and fights, also exploring the map. So I find out that when you interact with a merchant ship you fight them or trade with them. SI obviouly you want to fight them, but the fight don't start the music of the fight betwen ship start but you still in the navigation map, but the bug don't end there. When you go and explore some island you can get in to a fight against some xaurips, ogres, etc. Whe you win that fight you actually get the pop up when you win a ship battle so you actually get all the bonuses on exp and loot for the ship battle that was bugged. 
I'm playing on the beta patch 

 

Having the same issue here. It's kind of hilarious when you fight a bunch of land-side creatures and get some crew bonuses. Not so hilarious to not be able to raid ships ...

 

I've been able to get ship combat to work maybe 1 out of every 3 times, but once the bug pops up, you've gotta jump into a port to clear it.

This bug still happens for me in 1.1.
