[Companions] Joinable NPC's die without reason (no injuries, 1st time knocked out)

My companions keep dying the first time they get knocked out of combat, they don't have any other injury so they shouldn't be dying.

I recall this happening since I visited magran's fortress (I don't remember the exact name, it's the volcano).

Did you equip that troll? It kills whoever gets knocked out. I'm guessing its for a challenge game but why place it so late? eh.

Do you have the pet mentioned equipped? If not, please send us a save game so we can look into the matter for you.
