May 13, 20187 yr For example, flames of devotion gets replaced by the upgraded version.. because, natrually, the upgraded version is straight-up better. But, lay on hand remains as a downgraded option for some reason, as does stuff like knockback when you get the improved version. I'd understand if there was a cooldown system, or the original was cheaper, but I can't think of any reason why would I use base versions of something if I have an upgrade that's just better. May 13, 20187 yr I think it’s leftover from beta. Overall, if ability gets improved it should replace its own version. If it costs more, then both are available. For example mule kick used to cost two discipline and knock back 1. Knockback also used to be “full attack”. They rebalanced it but didnt change it into a straight up upgrade.
May 13, 20187 yr Mule kick makes sense to be separate because if you knock up an opponent, allies can’t hit them, makig them retarget. Knock down is better in situations where you want to focus an opponent down
