It appears that recovery speed modifiers are additive (the sum of the modifiers are subtracted from the base recovery speed) so the more you have of them the better each one becomes.

IE: with "instant attack speed" (don't think its really instant so the real benefit is less than what I am showing) -15% recovery gets you 18% more attacks, -30% recovery gets you 43% more attacks, -45% recovery gets you 82% more attacks, etc.

Might and Perception have diminishing returns. Every additional damage bonus is less effective than the last, same with accuracy.

Am I wrong about recovery speed modifiers being additive? The tooltip indicates that they are but I don't know if that is whats happening in game.

My premise is wrong so nvm. Can someone explain the math here though? https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/photo/110148258842465867353/6554906725567633218?authkey=CIuVs_-D_evkDA

The sum of modifiers are not applied to the base recovery/reload -speed. They are applied one by one. That yields diminishing returns, but it's still very powerful.

I guess I assumed it was additive because it seems like its not multaplicative. So in game, I have a 6.8 second base reload with -13% dex, +20% armor, -20%, -20%, -20% (from different effects.) The displayed recovery time is 4.0 seconds. How is that number calculated. That doesn't look additive or multiplicative.

it always depends on the build and what equipment u are gunning for.

since there are a lot of recovery bonus items i think dex for the most part is pretty weak but perception is stronger due to lack accuracy buffs and equipment.

Thanks!

Might>Per>Dex. Might is multiplicative with the other damage bonuses and thus suffers from less diminshing returns. Perception adds by itself more dmg (reduces misses and increases criticals) and has also a multiplicative effect because it can affect the synergies between abilities. Dex bonus is additive with the other speed buffs and can suffer very fast from diminishing returns (especially if you're using 2 weapons).

Many player reported that Might is NOT multiplicative in release version.
