I can not initiate ship combat anymore.  I sail up to a merchant ship, click attack, hear the battle music, and no combat happens.  I keep sailing and hear the battle music.  I have tried to attack multiple different ships with the same results.

 

Seems unaffiliated ships are the main issue.  I can double click on ships that are not unaffiliated and initiate attack.

Bumping this, as it's an issue for me.  There is just one merchant ship on the map and I can't attack it.  It basically has killed (among the many other bugs) the game for me.

 

Last Obsidian game I buy on release.

I have this issue too.

I'm having the same issue here. Unaffiliated Merchant ship outside Port Maje. Click on it, click attack and the music starts but it stays on the world map.
