I most certainly tried it. I fully expected the usual hand-waving "Don't play around 'hero,' here's what you'll need to do" and the story continues. 

 

Never been happier to be proven wrong.

Its cute, but not much more than a time waster. It doesn't involve player choice, though. It has zero affect on the game, just a novelty before restarting

Like accelerating into the dive at the beginning of Torment: Tides of Numenera.  Love the non-standard game overs!
