I think that even if you've never played any of the other Ultimas, the average gamer knows what a paladin is, so it was also a serious case of treating the players like morons. 

Spoony took it very poorly cause if you watch his videos he explains why the Ultima series had a very big emotional place in his life.

I think it's pretty funny then, that it could possibly upset people like this lol I wish Spoony would learn to move on and realize that we have plenty of other games which are just emotionally rewarding to choose from Of course, I'm guessing the video is years old so maybe he has... hopefully.

Uh you should watch his video series.  Ultima is more than a "video game" to him, for legitimately good reasons too.

But the ones we grow up with hold a special place in our hearts. Call it nostalgia goggles or whatever, but people get sad when the latest iteration of their favorite childhood series is rubbish.
