Anyone ever found a use for delayed blast fireball? This is one spell I never used in over 670 hours of playing.

Nope. Never knew why you would want a delay in your spells.

Hehe, I think it would be obvious!  So you have time to gloat like a C-Lister Villain, right before the big explosion!  (and the inevitable plot device that ends your life before the explosion happens).

It's a copy of a BG2 spell.
It wasn't that bad because you could cast spell off combat. So you could pile a couple of delayed fireball before fight.

 

The damages aren't too bad and it is fast cast, so it is a pretty good AoE spell even if the delayed part is indeed a bit pointless.
